"We don't have to spend all that money on a stage set. We don't have to spend four hours sound checking each day. It's just so that we can do the best possible at what we want. Why do something half-as*ed? People are getting accustomed to better and better sound so why not give it to them if you can? But we'd never just want to reproduce our records. We play all kinds of technical gymnastics to get the essence of the song live and then we build on that".
