Whilst this site has 'Official' status, it's fan-run, with no financial support. If you would like to help, please make a donation through PayPal, no matter how small - every little bit helps to pay for hosting, monthly mailing list fees & software upgrade costs. Thank you!

New site coming soon...
Thank you for your patience during this site's nightmare server move. A brand new website for 2012 will be launched shortly, along with the restored Forum and Media Archive. Look out for announcements on Facebook and Twitter in the coming fortnight!

Definitive Edition CDs out now!
All six of the 2-disc Ultravox Remastered Definitive Edition albums Vienna, Rage in Eden, Quartet, Monument (CD+DVD), Lament and U-VOX are out now. Lament has 4 extra tracks as individual MP3 downloads only, available from outlets such as Amazon MP3 Downloads and iTunes.
Both of the 2-disc Midge Ure Remastered Definitive Edition albums The Gift and Answers to Nothing are available now. Unfortunately due to budgetary restrictions, they did not come with card wraparounds and we are not allowed to publish expanded booklet PDFs for them. Still, they sound fantastic!:
Other recent releases - Billy Currie's Refine (MP3 only), Ultravox's The Very Best of Ultravox (CD+DVD) and Midge Ure's Pure+Breathe (2CD) - are all available now:
About us
Welcome to Ultravox.org.uk, the official
Ultravox website, still known as Extreme Voice or EV after
the fanzine which started it all.
When the 'EV' fanzines first started out in 1984 with the first issue being printed in early 1986, it was a small, photocopied affair for the price of three stamps! Over the years it became a professionally printed Official Ultravox Fanzine with exclusive interviews and photos of the band, and in 1996 the website was launched. The fanzine finally wound down in 2000 at its celebratory 20th issue, and moved entirely to the web. You can read the official Ultravox fanzine here, all 20 issues in PDF format, which should answer many of your Ultravox-related questions (and maybe even tell you a few things you didn't know!). The early ones were a little rough around the edges, so start at issue 20 and work your way back. Enjoy!

What to see, where to go
The Media Archive is the core of the new site, where
most of its content can be found. Words, greeting message sound files, articles,
mobile ringtones, Ultravox logos, wallpapers, video stills, Covers
Competition entries, etc. We have photo archives from both Chris
Cross and Midge Ure which will start appearing
soon, and my own photo archives which I've already started to add.
The Forum is
a vibrant, thriving community of fans, so please do drop in. You might
run into Warren Cann, Billy Currie, Midge Ure of Ultravox or Danny
Mitchell and Colin King of the fan favourite support band Messengers. There is
also a Covers Competition,
so if you are at all musical, feel free to jump in!
As many of you will know, Rob runs the official John
Foxx website,
Metamatic.com. To
avoid duplication of content, coverage of John Foxx can be
found at Metamatic.
Submit content!
If you have a little spare time, you can help to make
Ultravox.org.uk even better by submitting content.
Reviews of shows that you have seen, scans of press articles through the
years, photos of the band, photos of venues that they have played in, scans
of ticket stubs, badges, tour posters, tour merchandise, tour adverts,
etc - I am always looking to expand the site, and all submissions will
be credited in the Thanks to section.

Overheard
"Ultravox is like any relationship. The people in it have got to have interesting points that you want to know about. I like the differences. I like mixing things up. Of course there are arguments but if you get very annoyed by something, what's really annoying is that you're getting annoyed!".
