As shamelessly cut and pasted from another thread... Folks, just a quick note to confirm that Monument will be playing in Greenock (26 miles - a short direct train ride - from Glasgow)on Friday 21st July 2006. Hopefully we'll be able to see some fellow Vox fans at the gig. Full details, times and running order to follow... We did ponder on an afternoon gig on the 22nd, but the logistics of getting a decent crowd on a Saturday afternoon coupled with staging the gig at a decent time to allow folks (and ourselves) to get to Glasgow for the John Foxx gig were against us... Cheers...

Well Ladies! Monument would love to play over in your beloved homelands, but the logistics of it all would be a total financial no no, not unless you guys win the lottery & fly us ..(& the gear) over there! Maybe 'One Small Day'..(Pun Intended!...lol )

Ha! Ha! Ha! If I won the lottery, Mr. X and I would probably pack up our things and move over there so we'd be able to see you in your beloved homeland anyway! But, chances are if I won, it would be millions of dollars, so I could probably manage both. I'll see what I can do. Mrs. X

If it works, I am willing to pay a lot for getting your knowledge Tara. And will I get the exclusive rights for making a book, a film.... ? For the book I have already the title: "How to get the jackpot for dummies" (registration pending on this title already, sorry mates)

You could try...but I'd want the original line-up with Foxx and Shears. If you want the Midge line-up...well...keep in mind that ABBA turned down something like a billion dollars to reunite. Ultravox may be tempted for $100,000,000 but whether they'd actually go through with it is another thing altogether. Mrs. X

I saw an Associates concert on BBC many years ago (after Alan Rankine had departed) and the keyboard player then had some exceptional sounds which were streets ahead of the presets. By the way, good luck with the gig.

I'm not quite sure how we got ourselves to this point, but it seems that (after a mad game of dare last night) we've committed ourselves to both the Monument gig and John Foxx in Glasgow next month... So, we'll be seeing you there chaps! On a slightly seperate note, a small message for Danny Mitchell. Danny, if you're reading this my friend, my assessment made in Edinburgh in January last year that you are a very bad influence still stands. Come and prove it on the 21st July by buying us both a pint you old devil! Roll on July... EG x
