Not a magazine I normally get but this looks quite good for fans of electronic music:

1. How electronic music saved David Bowie
2. 50 greatest electronic music records of all time
3. Free CD of electronic music compiled by Daniel Miller incl. Throbbing Gristle, Can, Nitzer Ebb, Cabaret Voltaire

I use to buy MOJO regularly and still have about 35 old copies but stopped buying when they they dumbed it down to include more advertising with less pages and and less quality article on bands and artists .I did have a look through it yesterday with Bowie on the front but it's over priced at £4.50 .

I faithfully buy this magazine (including a CD) every month hoping to read something exciting.Mostly it's about british icons e.g. The Beatles,The Stones but on and off you'll get lucky finding an interesting article handling Bowie,Eno,Foxx etc.
Even 'Brilliant' gets mentioned in 224 (p.90) alongside a David Fricke article of Kraftwerk live in NYC.

I have noticed the same with the Rolling Stone magazine ,it's just got thinner over the years and like Mojo, not as thick and layered as it was in it's heyday .

i s'pose it's like the music industry itself, the internet changes everything.
more people( like us) go online and dont buy as many (if any) magazines( i used to but Q every month without fail).
So sales plummet, and they have to generate cash somehow, and you get more adverts, also they have to pay wages e.t.c., so then the cover price has to rise. but if i was an advertiser i would be reluctant to splash out much cash towards magazines if no one is reading them.

Perusing a few music mags the other day, I bought the current issue of Future Music which features an interview with Midge and Billy about the recording of Brilliant. There's also an ad for a brand new title dedicated to electronic music called.....Electronic! Issue 1 features a Kraftwerk interview plus a feature on the making of Dare and a compilation CD. More
