David, I agree about some of the songs sounding better when you hear them as part of the video.
For a first album though, I find it very strong, not one track that I don't like.
Did you hear the Ultravox influence in the first track?
Dont think I could put my finger directly on any Ultravox influences , but certainly if you took out the vocal/dialogue a lot of the music would fit as instrumentals into an Ultravox album/B side.
