An Incident In Algiers

One for the anoraks (no offence i am sometimes one) - spotted Mr Currie on an old OGWT clip for the obscure Skids track "An Incident In Algiers", on YouTube.

Billy is clearly, as may be imagined, playing electric viola behind messrs Jobbo and assorted other Skids.

Billy also played on this track on record. An Incident In Algiers is the first track on Strength Through Joy, a giveaway mini LP that came with initial copies of the album The Absolute Game.

Jobbo frequently met Billy at the Blitz club and asked him once to perform on one of their records and he did!

PS Well spotted. It is an electric viola. It has this screeching type of sound, very Arabic. Chris Payne performs same on the track Cold Warning from the Berserker album.
