It must be! Everybody's still using the 1997 press photo!

Sorry.

About eight years without a new press photo is a bit quiet even for John.
I would also like to see a series of new photo session pics, like John and the UV members used to do every so often.

Ah - but the picture of Dorian Gray broke a few years back and now John resembles a wrinkly old sprout lost for years in the back of the 'fridge...

Its true. I went to put the sprout in the bin and it said "eh up! I'm John Foxx tha knows! UnderPANNNNNTS!!!"

sorry, I don't know what's coming over me... nutjob

I think we're missing something here...

John's a 'go-ahead' kind of guy...he probably considers press photos are sooo 20th Century.

But what to replace it?

My suggestions (for what their worth):

The JF standee: in a suitably enigmatic pose, various extremities out of focus or blurred;

Inflatable JF: a fairly obvious development this one - popular in Holland and certain areas of Greece;

Dehydrated JF: comes in a handy - available as a 4 ounce bag, or, in a commemorative Quiet Man tin. Just add water!;

Grow your own JF: tricky, this one...JF's complete genetic sequence - available as an A3+ 312 page, hessian-bound 'novel' - set in 15pt Garamond with Univers drop caps. Also included: 15,000 sq ft, hermetically-sealed lab with gene and protein re-sequencers, willing male and female volunteers, 1.21G watt low-load thermic generator and a nice wallpaper cover scrapbook to keep Polaroids of your tests in...

JF beer stein: it's a stein...that...holds......you get the idea?

Any takers. Personally, I think some of these are keepers?

What an excellent idea!
We could all wave them at the gigs coming up <img border="0" alt="[The Finger]" title="" src="graemlins/thefinger.gif" />

Or more seriously, what about the idea of some 'item of merchandise' that we could personalise with our screen names and thus identify one another at said gigs...

JF action fig-ures, anyone?

Following that to it's logical conclusion, I'd have to walk around with an ancient stone monument strapped to me...

Spinal Tap anyone?...
