Mine wasn't quite so generous! She kicked me out of the house for a couple of hours to get some fresh air. :p But I did see most of it!

i actually did the same ... also 20 years later with "live 8" , but i didn't had to ask my mom this time !!! laugh

btw : it was really great to watch all those acts on tv WITHOUT any commercial breaks or nutty commentators @ the german PHOENIX tv channel !!! wink
all other stations - incl. ard & mtv , of course - either only showed much shorter summaries of it or had long commercial breaks & those idiots chattin' sometimes even durin' the performances !!!

sadly there was no show transmitted from the red square in moscow afaik & have seen !!!
i think that the pet shop boys have played there , haven't they !?
dmitry , any chance that u've seen the show in moscow then & could tell us somethin' about it ??? *jus'_curious*

But the biggest disappointment was:

1) First telling all your buddies to watch the best band in the world: Ultravox .

2) Find out that the sound was awful (no bass at all) and no backing vocals in "Reap the wild wind". Chris Cross´s bassguitar sounded something like "ploink, ploink".

3) All buddies asking me "What´s good with Ultravox?"

Regards Björn
