I've made a few posts since going to Ultravox's superb Hammersmith show last night, so it's only right that I jot down a few words to introduce myself.
My name's Alan Hayes, I'm 44 and I've been an Ultravox fan since hearing Vienna at the time of its original single release. From then on, I was hooked (sorry, Foxx-era fans, I was a bit late on the scene!).
I've seen them four times now, once each in '82, '83 and '84 and now once more in 2009.
My favourite Ultravox album is Rage in Eden, and my top track (of any band) is The Thin Wall.
Ultravox have long been my favourite band, with Kraftwerk and Talking Heads in close contention.
I live in North London with my wife and our cat, Astradyne. (Actually, she's really called Zoe, but I couldn't resist a little jest!)
Nice to be here.
