hi guys, i'm not sure how to post my ultravox related designs up here but i'll try so here it goes. if you would like to see more, you can go to http://s554.photobucket.com/albums/jj413...mview=slideshow - just press the full screen button at the bottom right hand side of the screen. these posters were really just done for the sheer fun of designing and, because i wanted to show my admiration, love and respect for ultravox. i do not plan on doing anything with these posters in any way, this is to do with copyright, respect and using the name of ultravox. i want to do the right thing by midge, warren, chris and billy. basically, i just want to share these with ultravox as well as all my fellow ultravox fans. i also want to say thank you to midge, warren, chris and billy, they have always been a huge influence in my life and will always remain so, thanks guys.

awww, thanks so much for your kind words guys, but i would probably have to get permission from ultravox themselves if, i was going to give out copies because i'm using the name of ultravox on these dummy poster designs, i would want to do the right thing by ultravox. these posters were really just done for fun and, because of my admiration, love and respect for ultravox. i'm so glad you like them, i enjoyed designing them

Really nice! Also my favorite is the Midge Ure "card", the one after 'Paths & Angels'.

Hi, Toni!
I'm trying to interpret the message/motif in this picture, and may make a hash of my interpretation, but here goes:-
The three men standing on what looks to be the exterior of an underground rail tunnel are commuters, standing patiently during their journey. One of the commuters is in shade, perhaps representing his physical or emotional disposition, unlike his 'brighter' travellers. A proportional slice of the moods of the general population?
There are four shafts of greyish beams, originating from the heavens (Where else does Ultravox's inspiration come from!). These converge into a broad band (pun intended), along with more tributaries from these commuters, who are also a metaphor for anybody interacting with Ultravox members, and influencing their lives), into a point fixed into the future: their destination.
I'm, thinking that these monochromatic bands originate from adverse personal circumstances; stress, uncertainty, anxiety, etc. These same personal circumstances can find emotional wellsprings of release, that include art. It is sometimes noted that many musicians have produced significant works during these circumstances. For example, Bob Dylan's 'Blood on the Tracks' and Richard and Linda Thompson's 'Shoot out the Lights' were produced in the background of relationship breakdowns.
So this artwork is not only indicative, and reflects the monochromatic cover of 'Vienna' and the random nature of encounters in 'Mr 'X' but is also a testament to an enduring album, and the creative energies within. Toni, if I had the choice of choosing the graphic artist for the next Ultravox album (perchance to dream!) from yourself, or the EMI in-house team, you'd get my vote.
