Hi there.

I signed up a couple of years ago, but my membership was never approved by the moderators, so I finally got around to trying again a couple of weeks ago.

Anyway, these days I mostly listen to heavy metal, but I still have a soft spot for Ultravox and the early '80s synthpop with which I grew up. I'd heard some of the Foxx era material, but like most people, my interest in Ultravox was really kicked off by Vienna. I obsessively collected everything I could find, and have a near complete vinyl collection (including the gatefold sleeves, clear and coloured vinyl singles and so on). Since I have it all on CD now anyway, I'm contemplating selling it, but I still have an emotional attachment to it, so time will tell on that one.

I'm excited about the reunion, but sadly, I didn't subscribe to the newsletter, so I missed out on the ticket presales announcement, and now the best seats I can find are 3 miles from the stage. Ho hum. Last time I saw the band was at Wembley on the U-Vox tour. Another show has been a long time coming. Let's hope it's worth the wait!

welcome to someone who lives just a matter of miles & 3 tube stops from me in Middlesex.

I turned to listening to rock in the 90s & got into Marilyn Manson. What rock are you into? I may know some of your tastes as I have bought every single issue of "Rock Sound" since issue 1.

Heh. A mere two stops, really, since West Harrow is the nearest stop for me. As for my musical taste, it started with traditional metal like Maiden and Priest in the early '80s, and then went on to more modern power metal like Blind Guardian, Hammerfall, Edguy, etc. Also some orchestral/symphonic and female fronted bands like Therion, Epica, Sirenia, and current favourites Hanging Doll.

Apart from Maiden (who I have seen once) & Priest, I haven't heard of the others.

I have also seen Manson, ZZ Top, Meat Loaf, Metallica, Def Leppard, Kiss, Dare, Whitesnake (didn't enjoy), Thunder, Terrorvision, Bryan Adams, & love female fronted bands Vixen & Girlschool.

Maybe we should have our own Harrow Voxgate before going to Hammersmith?
