Bit surprised Midge is getting involved with politics. I always used to hate musicians bringing politics into music ie Billy Bragg, Paul Weller, Simply Red...in my own opinion he is more or less doing the same as they did by merging the two. Personally I actually don't give a monkeys which party my favourite musicians vote for/support, same as I don't care for which football team they support. If I like the music that's enough for me.

To be fair, the SNP claim that North Sea oil and gas revenue should be theirs and not go to Whitehall i.e the gas and oil are from Scottish waters and therefore the revenue should go to Scotland. The Nats reckon that, if this was the case, Scotland would be self-sufficient and able to become an independent, prosperous nation. As it is, London generates most of the income for the UK.
Quite why Midge is now waving the banner for the SNP I've no idea. It's not like he's expressed support for the Nats in the past and, as you say, lives in the (English) west country. Beware nationalists of any hue.

Ultravox may reform, never say never. We're going out on tour next year, but wont be doing any new recording. We're recording a new album.
