Hi, just came across this via timdry.co.uk - thought I'd pass it on.

No idea yet how long this has been out, but Tim Dry has issued a DVD/CD set compiling his work as part of Shock, a group that Richard Burgess and Rusty Egan were also part of (on the music and production side of the equation).

Included on the DVD is their never seen full 40 minute support slot from Gary Numan's 1981 Wembley Arena show, plus promos for the singles Angel Face and Dynamo Beat, an edited live set at The Venue in London from 1980 and various TV performances of Screen Me, I'm Yours, Angel Face, Dynamo Beat and Doll's House. The bonus CD anthologises all the 7" and 12" versions of Angel Face, RERB, Dynamo Beat and Dream Games, and as a bonus also features an unreleased demo of Screen Me, I'm Yours.

It's retailing for 20.00 + 1.50 P&P via a Pay Pal link.

I only came across this set today through doing some research for interviews with Richard Burgess and Barbie Wilde, so hoping that Tim (and maybe the other members) might want to chat as well, and perhaps I'll turn it into a Shock special, or something smile

Hi Rob! I purchased this set earlier in the year and was a little disappointed with it to be honest. The footage looks as though it was taken from a VHS source, which is probably understandable given its age, but the audio tracks have been taken from vinyl and consequently there's a lot of surface noise in evidence. I was hoping they would have been taken from the original masters but this was sadly not the case.

Well I'm not overly surprised to learn this, as that disclaimer at the bottom of that web page was a bit of a worrier - thanks for the info.

As have I tucked away somewhere to be sold off one of these days, and one of the singles too, I think. Yes, Tim's up for a chat too, so it will be a bit of a Shock special for an issue early next year then smile

Richard Burgess' interview is absolutely stella - with mentions of Ultravox, the Blitz scene, Visage, Shock, RERB etc. & Landscape too, of course! - and it's grown so large that it needs an issue all to itself, so the plan is to get it out theer before Christmas - great bloke!
