Have just mentioned this briefly in the Green Room and thought it deserved it's own thread here, because IT'S A GREAT ALBUM. Possibly my favourite of last year.
Very 21st Century and yet very 80s, but doing that whole 80s thang with much more finesse than most of today's more successful artists - i.e. it references the 80s rather than provides a poor imitation of it.
Although not a concept album as such, it does come across at times as a duet between a male and a female, who may or may not be humans. It's on DFA records and so has a lot in common with LCD Soundsystem, but he's clearly also been listening to a lot of Human League.
I'll let the punters who have bought it from Amazon do the rest of the talking, as some of them are much more eloquent that me (nb despite what some of them say, the HL references on the album are a GOOD thing): http://tinyurl.com/39tfszq
