They have done well with this one.
I have listened to it a couple of times and the album is marvellous. Especially some of the ballads are a bit of The chaffeur/save a prayer-ish. Regarding the uptempo songs (there are many..the energy level is equal to "Rio"), they sounds much like they did on their debut album. A kind of crossover of songs like Careless memories, Planet earth, Friends of mine and even a bit of Tel aviv here and there.
I find it hard to believe that Ultravox will do one of their 3 best albums this time, because this is just whar Duran Duran have done. It´s way better than "Seven and the ragged tiger" (which does contains a bunch of good numbers like "The seventh stranger" or "New moon on monday".
