Hi

It is with regret that we inform you that Hallowfest music festival in Paisley has been cancelled.

Attached is the Official press release from PR Consultant MacDonald Media, which will appeared in the Paisley Daily Express on Saturday. I think that you will find it self explanatory.

http://www.paisleydailyexpress.co.uk/lif...87085-22003240/

We would very much like to take this opportunity to thank you for your time and support during the planning of this event.

I very much hope that this cancellation has not put you to too much inconvenience.

The above is a copy of the email that was sent to myself there on Friday.

Once again we are sorry, especially to the folks who have already committed to buying tickets, booking travel & accomodation etc, sorry again for any inconvenience that this may have caused you.

We hope this hasn't put you guys off coming to see us in the future.

Sleepy zzzzz

Keith and I are still travelling up for the weekend. Accommodation is booked and we plan to visit/meet up with folk while in that neck of the woods. Our friend Maureen is flying up from Manchester Airport on Saturday morning (flight was already booked). She doesn't often get an "escape" so still plans to make the best of the situation. If anyone else can't get out of their bookings and would like to meet up with us, feel free to post here, and I'm sure a Voxgate of some kind can be arranged.

I hardly ever go to live events now, so its not really a problem for me. Even so, to see this cancelled, and the recent (now resolved) problems concerned with some bookings at Phil's gigs, im quite bemused .

As that great philosopher Mutley once said.... "Rasn fasn F&*Ģing Bas*@r#in* Cu%&i*g Mc*o&#@n!!"

...and not forgetting the irrepressible spirit of Chumbawumba - "I Get Knocked Down But I Get Up Again...and throw a bucket of water over the deputy Prime Minister"...

I'd like to add my apologies to those of Don to the folks who showed us great support(again) in endeavouring to come up and support us. One of these days things will go smoothly, but not today...
excited
Cheers again...

Keith and I will still be in Paisley from the Friday, with Maureen coming up on the Saturday. Are there plans for any kind of meet up for those who have already made arrangements to come up and are still making the trip? Possible drinks in Paisley or Greenock methinks, but will leave any ideas up to the locals.. smile
