Ive made a track in a Numan-style. A fan of him left a message in my guestbook that this stuff is quite good.

What do you think about?

Kentaku

I didn't think this was very Numan like. Reminded me more of Japan maybe - the percussion especially.

Liked it - especially the drum roll bits that come in at 2:18.

Flip is right - more Japan than Numan. I had a couple of listens and wanted to know what sort of comments you wanted to hear - short and sweet or more in depth?

hi holger ! smile

i've jus' listenin' to it for the 2nd time & it's indeed more like somethin' by japan than somethin' by numan also to me !!! wink
however ... a nice lil' song , m8 !!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="cool.gif" />
maybe a wee bit inspired by "down in the park" then !? *jus'_guessin'*

btw : i suppose that david meant the length of his commentary about your song & not the pro or contra aspect !!! laugh

anyway ... c u ! smile

Hi Olaf!

I wasnt inspired by one special song. It was rather the whole touch of Numans work. I cant describe it in better words.... :-)

And the comments could be long or short. Im pleased with both.

I like it. smile

If I were to compare it to Numan I'd say it sounded a bit like some of his instrumental b-sides from the late 80s, but darker.

Actually I find it a bit more like Depeche Mode - Black Celebration or Music for the Masses.

Looking forward to hearing more! wink

To be honest the ony DM-like thing I could hear was the piano melody in the first half of the track. The drum pattern and all the keyboard parts in the second half of this track screamed Japan at me...
