Ocean Road, my new track is now up on Myspace. Please take a listen. Good driving music (in an 80s ish/synthy lead kind of way). Featuring a Corvette on lead vocals... cool

Very good. I was reminded of Jarre's Oxygene (Part 5), for some reason!

Interesting point of reference; hadn't occurred to me, that one! Still, if I had an nth of his talent I'd be a happy man... Cheers for listening! smile

Have you entered the Covers Competition? I've submitted an original work, which sounds a bit like Ultravox!

No I haven't thought about that actually! I entered the first one some years ago (when there were only 2 entries!) and was going to enter one a few years back but after working on the track for a while, I managed to screw up the files in Cubase and couldn't face doing them again from scratch... biglaugh

Doubt I'll get time this year now - quite a lot on over the next few weeks and want to get another original track finished in the next few weeks too.

Has to be said though, there's often a high standard of entries - there are some talented people out there! smile

Excellent stuff, Flip. Reminded me of early Mark Shreeve which is definitely no bad thing!

Thanks all. smile

Mark Shreeve, now there's a blast from the past. Not heard a lot of his stuff but what I did hear was quite aggressive (for synth based stuff). Sounds good to me.

Love the John Carpenter does Outrun comment...thanks for that. biglaugh

Flip - Only just got round to playing Ocean Road.

What can I say - keep 'em coming there Sunna - Just my cup of tea. Sort of a cross between Mark Shreeve (as pointed out by Pete) and Tangerine Dream. I could listen to this all day.

Good Work Fella smile

Flip - Ocean Road rocks ! Very, very nice track. Reminds me a little of Tangerine Dream. Can I ask what gear you use ? I'm using FL 9 at the moment.

Best wishes

Thanks Craig, much appreciated! smile Cubase and a mix of VSTis. Depends which version of Ocean Rd you're referring to but I've been using Waldorf Attack and PPG VSTs, NI Battery, EZ Drummer, ImpOSCar, M-tron and Oddity.
