Folks, just a quick announcement that Monument will be playing the Citrus Club, Grindlay Street, Edinburgh on July 4th 2008.

Times, support and ticket details to follow.

We're looking forward to playing again at a venue we fondly remember as having one of the best sounds of any gigs we've ever done.

Here's to a happy Independence Day...

As its still several months away, is there any chance it could be professionally recorded, audio wise at least. bemused

At the moment we're concentrating more on making sure it's professionally played. wink The recording is usually a bonus if we get time to set it up after soundchecking. That tends to be easier in venues with in-house PA systems (like the Citrus now has) so we're hopeful of getting something recorded from this, Newvox.

Best thing to do would be come along - you can't beat the live sound and the Citrus Club is a blast.

Believe me i would like to be there, money and travel is not a problem even though im at the bottom of the country. Would not go with Maryann having to miss it though, so we'll have to wait and see. confused

I've been quiet for a while, but I'm back.

My daughter and I have been doing recording and multi-camera video for a few live bands. After a few false starts, we're getting quite good at it. Currently we do 16 track audio and 3 cameras; we should be up to 24 tracks soon. Just got to solder up some more split snakes. And up my Pro Tools to 7.4. The list goes on.

It is within the realms of possibility that we might be able to get to a Monument gig, either in Gourock or in Edinburgh.

Steve Adam! Bloody hell, there's a name from the past. Haven't seen him in about 10 years. I remember he sent me lots of rare Mesh tracks at one time. Glad he's still plugging away anyway. smile

Good luck with the gig anyways - be interesting to see some vid footage if it comes off.

It was feasible - not that far from Grassmarket round there is it (I looked it up)? I know my way round there.

Our mortgage just went up 90% though so we're on a big economy drive. No holidays this year!
