Just want to check before i book my travel etc.

Hi Thomas. We were all booked in at the Travelodge. (Central). I've already got my room sorted. Hopefully catch up with some of you good folk for some afternoon pre-gig bevvies in the adjoining pub!!

Sorry I've not been around. I've replied on the Monument forum..... hoping to get there but finances are tight. Would love to go, but travelodge rooms have gone up to 39 quid. Getting there could be a problem as well.... so unless I can get a lift and share with someone, it's unlikely I'll get there...... bugger really! Sure you'll all have a fantastic time without me! LOL

It's some way from the station to the Limelight. There is a taxi rank outside the station though, and it would cost about £5.00 or so to the venue. Looking forward to seeing you again

I cannae make it to the gig unfortunately and I am very annoyed about it! Back in shitty Dublin, in final year of uni so no chance of getting time off! Had a great time at the gig last time and hope everything goes well for you guys! It is sure to be a class night and I'm sad I'm missing it

Yes it was a good program,I've seen quite a few of those tributes live at the Robin Bilston over the last 10 years.

I want to come up.Depends if I get back from a business trip to Portsmouth at a good time.

Business trips been cancelled so I'm slowly edging toward being there.

It is with deep regret that I have to say that I won't be able to be in Crewe for the Monumental occasion. Work has conspired against life to once again deprive me of the heady drug of good music played live and well kickin', innit.

I hope the evening goes with an appropriate level of pomp and magnificence and that the fine ales of Crewe run as free as mighty rivers. Or something. I've no doubt it'll be excellent and I'm annoyed not to be able to be there.

Incidentally, should anyone be in the vicinity of the Clachan, near London's Oxford Street tubing station, on Tuesday, 9th October, they could be worse advised than to venture upstairs for 19:00 Hrs. There, the chaser after culture in the form of short stories read by professional performers will find a veritable cauldron of tales upon the theme of "Ghosts and Monsters", all presented under the banner of LIARS' LEAGUE, purveyors of culture to the knowing and discerning. It costs nobbut three sterling pounds to enter, and to enjoy thereafter is free. Oh, and I'm reading.

Silly question, but what do you guys do pre-gig? I'm just wondering when to show up, you know, to chat, drink, etc. :p I didn't realise you were going on stage so late. Hopefully the trains will work in our favour!

Cheers Don. Unfortunately I'll now have to give the Kieran Docherty gig a miss now - Just looked on the National Rail enquiries, and cheapest they can do for me is £45. Adding that to the cost of gig and b&b has pushed the cost to around three figures, and that's before food and drink. Thanks anyway, and see you on Thursday.. It promises to be a good one by the look of things..

Tara, if you are booked in at the Travelodge, there is a pub just by. You'll probably find some folk in there.. Keith and I should be arriving about 5pm.

Just bought a ticket & reserved it to pick up on the door so I will be there M6 permitting.

Booked the next day off so may stay over.

Sadly, personal circumstances mean that I won't be in Crewe on Thusday. Best of luck to those both on and off stage.

Thanks, Shirl! But what if we're not booked in at the Travelodge? We looked into it and found out it would cost £50 a night!! So we'll be taking the train back that night, I think, and hope we don't miss any of the gig! Will definitely meet you guys beforehand though!

I have a few pictures,which didnt come out that well.

I have a quicktime of them playing Hiroshima Mon amour but its over 100Mb,which is too big for youtube.I've had a go at converting down to a smaller size but the sound goes haywire.

They did 3 Foxx numbers,the afore mentioned as well as Slow Motion & Quiet Men.

I cant remember the setlist order but they played the following in no particular order:-

They closed with an encour which was The Voice closing down with the drum pads,which I have some shaky footage of.

One of the band members tripped over the drumpad cable & send the drum pad flying at the very end.

I will post some stuff when I can sort it out.
