I'm not going to be able to make it, I'm sorry to say. I hope the gig's a Monumental success and that a thoroughly splendid time is had by one and all. I hope it leads to more bookings for the band, too, and more interest from the uninitiated in the source material.

All the best - even though you'll probably only see this after the event!

Hi Folks,

just got home from the Monument gig in Crewe. :p

Well done guys, great show, strong set list.... smile

If I may be so bold, a couple of comments..... :p

I was with Chris "lampie" and he said that your version of quiet man is as good if not better than JF's, and he should know, he's been working with Foxx for long enough.... laugh

I actually thought that your version of The Voice is the best I've heard for a long time, just love you guys to get some pads and thrash out the drum patterns and sequences. NOW THAT would be a finale and a half. bemused

I dont feel the back line hitches you had affected the show too much, I along with everyone else enjoyed it!!

Nice to catch up with some old friends, nice to put a face to Ari too!!

Keep the faith guys, you will go far.

Top show....

dm!!

Great stuff. I was just saying how tight the set was when you hit a couple of snags, but you played through them excellently and by the end the vibe was totally in my system! Miles (my brother) was suitably impressed.

We had to shoot off - shame I didn't meet any of you, but I'll try harder next time! When we got into the car Radio 1 was playing John Foxx ("Sex Video" from ATP) weird but neat.

Very professional and great versions of some of my favesongs that got me; Isabel and Ari dancing in the aisles !! and the band as people ae down to earth and warm and funny !! sassy - very commendable effort in turning up. Won't say anymore u know what i mean. Nice to meet you and EVERYONE else !!! Grant

Chappie. i have been accused of behaving rudely and egotistically toward you on Crewe trip. i admit i am a bit awkward and reserved with those i dont know well. and i was also financially embarassed having just signed off the dole recently, and felt bad that i couldnt reciprocate buying drinks etc. If u feel the public isnt the place for this debare pls email me with your thoughts. Many Thanks. Grant

To All

Obviously a private "dispute" was at the heart of this matter; which is now however resolved as best as possible for now with Isabel. So peace and love and lots of fun shall reign on this site again (as they usually do !!).

It has been rather like watching an online version of Crossroads over the last few days...

Onwards and upwards, Grant.

Back behind a computer again....(*Note to self - I really should go round the front, its much easier to type...) wink

Can I just say how much I and the rest of the Monument fellows enjoyed the little escapade in Crewe. Many, many thanks to the chaps and chapesses who came from far and wide to support us. (Chappie, Ari, Isabel, Grant, Roy Gwinn and Lisa)
Also, nice to meet you, Chris Curran...

To the folks we missed (Dadge, Midgevox et al), hope to see you on a return visit later in the year if and when we get organised.

excited
