Guys

Ive yet to catch you live but ive listened to the recordings you've done and seen the video clips of your live shows and all i can say is well done...

I can imagine the 'Ultravox' sound not being an easy one to replicate but ou have nailed it on the head..

When you going to get your gear down to South Wales for a show?...you know you'll have a welcome in the hillsides from your fellow 'Celts'

Keep it up

Chooch,
Thanks very much for your kind words. We've discussed going to Wales several times, not least because I've got a brother who lives in Barry and Its probably the closest we could get to playing a gig that Cerise could get to without a major trek (other than Brizzle itself). All I can say is "watch this space", its on my wish list for the future and I can be persistent when I like... wink

If there's a Monument gig in Wales, I'm there. Well, y'know, as long as I'm not away on hols, but that doesn't happen too often. I'm sure Rob would love to come too. Just name the day, guys! cool

Please don't forget the lost souls in the Midlands.

Plenty of venues and great transport links. (you'd never guess I work for the tourist board)

NOT!!

Had you going there eh?

Barry Town eh. There's a great boozer not far from the footy ground called The Admiral. It's a bit rough on a Frida' neet mind.

I think I've said this before but please one day a gig up here in Inverness! Its probably the only way I'll get to see the band and there are some venues here that I think would be interested.

I think it would be superb if Monument could travel around a bit more and reach the widest possible audience..... they truly are amazing live! What I would say is though..... you would each and every one of you have to pledge to attend gigs if they did come near you, I would think. Obviously budget is a serious issue for these guys.... and they have on numerous occasions travelled as far as Crewe (270miles ish? and then back again) and Cheshunt (450 ish miles and back again) it's a long way to go to be met with "oh well, I can't jump on the train for an hour to come and see you but if you make it to the midlands, bla bla bla..... or "I don't fancy driving for a couple of hours to see you, but if you can make it to Wales/ London/ manchester/ newcastle.... whatever....... come on guys, if you REALLY want to see these guys, suggest some venues, give them ideas, hastle them but most importantly..... make sure you go to the gigs if they do get to a town near you!!! wink laugh

As I've said in the past, I can try to organise something in and around Newcastle. There are a lot of good live venues in Newcastle, some of which can be hired for very little indeed, provided that we can get an audience. We can do that easily with some halfway decent promotion.

As I also said in the past, we'd be delighted to be the support.

So, if you want me to go ahead then let me know and I'll start the ball rolling here.

Well I'd say that sounds like a brilliant idea, but it's not for me to answer....... if you send an email to info@ultravoxtribute.co.uk it emails all the members of the band at once!
I'd say drop them a line and see where it leads! wink

oohhhhh it's sooooo exciting! excited LOL laugh

Wow!!!
I've just viewed these links on Youtube, and must say I'm Very, Very Impressed.
If Monument can arrange anything in S.Wales or S.West England, I'll be there!
I did see Ultravox a number of times in the Eighties, and this is as close as I'll ever get to repeating that experience. Not surprised the band have given you their endorsement. cool

Helen, Yes, you are spot on - Sleepy does use a Nord Lead 2 for the solos.
