Ive just come back from a short visit to the official Monument forum and there appears to be more trouble with the site / or forum to be exact. Theres been lots of problems with people not being able to log in in the past, but all the avatars and user names of mine and Maryanns are missing this time. Maybe some other users too but im having so much trouble just loading the pages thats its difficult to tell. confused

Any help would be good, as i think it may be to do with me changing my profile settings about four weeks ago. Ive not been back there since due to the illness, so im not sure whats happened. I also put the avatar up for Maryanns profile when we tried to bring the forum back to life, with Olaf's help too.

Any suggestions please! bemused

K, I was there over the weekend and everything was fine so I don't think it was anything you did wrong..... with your settings.

Would anyone know if this is related to the spam problem the site has experienced?

Well another week so i tried to log in to monument, not that i needed to. Just from looking at the boards it says guest.

The odd thing (apart from just us off the boards) is that all the XXXX rated spam which should be deleted, is still there. confused

Im wondering if someone may of hacked into the forum and removed our accounts while chucking the usual spam around.

Si or Chappie, if you could still look into the problem please. I know no-one ever posts there anymore, but we would still like to be part of it.

I still post there! Shirl, Caz, Olaf and Ash still post there. Band members still post there! Does that mean that you can't see the posts either? confused2

As in figure of speach.

Last month though there really was NO-ONE there for a few weeks or more apart from poor old Olaf, alone. So i went over there and asked Maryann to join me. I think between the three of us we put about fifty posts up over four days. It was really good and felt like when the site first opened for bizz. But yes, ive seen a few posts on there again but its still less than what i though would be. Especially as the gig has just happened too.

Great pics by the way, wish we could have been there. frown frown

Well to be fair, EV is exceptionally quiet too! As Cerise already pointed out a week or so ago, in the run up to Christmas, everything is quiet at this time of year!
Thankyou re: the photos..... The gig was really excellent I have to say..... There's always next time Ken, you'll get to one eventually!

Well if you think the pair of you were banned then I assume you broke the agreement you signed up to when you joined. I can't imagine you were booted for no reason. Then again, you'll have to find out from the horses mouth.

Newvox & Maryann,

Please PM me and I will explain what's going on. This doesn't have any place on the EV forum as it's a Monument issue.

Chappie: I would like to PM if i could get onto the forum in the first place, and to make matters worse, i dont have a working email account no more either. Thats why i had to ask about the Monument problem.....on topic in the Monument section of EV.

When I brought the forum back to life with the help of Maryann and Olaf, i found every reply they posted was sent back to my email as an alert. Even with that function set to off. So i went into my profile at Monument and changed the email address to another of mine. I remember now, that moments later i noticed i no longer had the password or user name to that email account. As the forum sent the new code to that location, i had effectively locked myself out of Monument the week before my illness.

I assume i also made some mistake to Maryann's account when i changed her avatar for her at the same visit. In effect i had locked myself out of the forum about six weeks ago. So im not listening to the rumours or blaming anyone here.

Just for the record.

Cheers.

Errrrm, I don't want to state the obvious here, but if you look at Chappie's post, there is a link to his EMAIL ADDRESS at the top! Why don't you just email him? You might not have an email address Ken, but Maryann does, why don't you do it?
By the way, you keep refering to "rumours" I'll give you the heads up on one thing, rumours between yourselves, i.e between Ken and Maryann are NOT rumours, they are THEORY! I can assure you there are NO rumours circulating the site, as I am sure you are aware if you are still able to read the posts!!!!!

Ken's post is quite self-explanatory and the issue has apparently been put to rest.

If there is information to the contrary Chappie is free to email me as he is the administrator and has my email address.
