My horse went to the knackers yard years ago, so I'll just be standing (coincidentally in horse-leather shoes for all you eco-friendly recyclists out there....). wink
I always wondered where all those "jazz" notes came from - I take it your horse was trying to throw you off. I'm sure I heard you mutter something about a "bucking nag" when I've made some helpful suggestion in the past.... smile

Also, I'm glad to see you've finally got your organ serviced, I know its been a long time and I'm glad you found the young chap quite reasonably priced. smile

To echo Sleepy's words, we're looking to have at least 6 new (for us) and "rarely visited" songs for October's gig...
excited

Helen, is that you?

As Maryann will have nothing more to do with monument i feel its only right i dont either. After all she was defending herself and me, from monuments self professed spokeswoman.
Only last week i made a 'remaster' of a monument booty. This will be my only interest from now, the music itself. Have already broke connections and advertising i made over verious places in the 'biz'. As Maryann said yesterday, sorry guys. Keep up the good work despite helens 'help'.
P.S. We wont be on the Monument site no more either, but its nothing personal about the band.

errrr.. no, last time I looked I was packing a little extra downstairs and a little less upstairs!

..and whilst I like to think I'm in touch with my feminine side, I'm quite happy being a chappy.

..and I live as far away from Scotland as you can possibly get whilst remaining on the dry side of the English Channel!

...and I've had more than enough of my fair share of, how show we say, sharp sided banter, to ever want to get involved in another hostile debate again!

Love and peace people, love and peace!

Here Don, wanted to ask, will you guys be recording the October show in Crewe by any chance? Coz I dont think i'll be able to make it with being back in Dublin and a skint student! wink If any of these new tracks are Western Promise, I will be very disappointed to have missed it! frown So any chance there may be a recording made? smile

It is a bit unfair to name and blame one person after not naming and blaming the instigator from yesterday (deleted posts notwithstanding). From what I can read, newvox is only stating his support of the band and like me, have no desire to continue arguing with their spokeswoman. From what newvox stated in his post, he will refuse to be dragged into arguments in the future, so what's the problem now?

I have just spoke to Cerise & it's plain and simple folks.

This site will be shut down if 'certain' people persist with their bickering.

What the hell this has to do with Monument is beyond us.

Helen Wallace is no more our spokesperson than Newvox is our press agent / studio engineer

There has been some talk of us being advertised within in the 'Biz' I really like to see this & also hear the remaster of our live recordings...we are more than happy with them just the way they are thanks.

With all these people looking out for the band, don't you think it would be nice n' polite to ask what we think first...hmmm..?

Long live U L T R A V O X wink

Well after just TWO posts in yesterdays chaos even though i was a target, and today stating my support for the band and plan for not being dragged into more trouble, i find myself being the only one named for just that. Does not get any clearer really, even a child (by age) could see whats happening here.

Its a bit like coming here to post about music without being attacked. I, with other people make 'remasters' of bootlegs including the real Ultravox. Its for my own enjoyment, and strangely John or Midge have never complained. And were quite happy with them thanks.

As for the second point, i was nice n' polite to ask, and you said thanks before i put anything on my myspace. Remember!

Long Live Ultravox

We take the cdr or original tapes to a studio, sometimes a home one, and 'remaster' as in just clear away the tape hiss, and if were luck sometimes improve the music itself. I also do it not so good by myself on a PC using a 'Magix' programme. Some of our Ultravox and Human League ones went out on this forum to people who like music eek
Sorry were off topic again.

Do you have your own studio?

I was under the impression that the original master had some part to play in remastering original recordings bemused

No, they have their own studio.

Proper remasters obviously are best from the master but our 'remasters' are just clean ups from whatever source we have. By nature of bootys it can be anything from a C-90 to a Mini Disc, sometimes a soundboard, or radio broadcast. I do the same with video too. Its not a real remaster, but the improvements can double the sound and picture quality. Getting back on topic'ish, theres only so much you can do with a bootleg so any chance of official Monument releases in future or is that dreaming at this moment??

Newvox, I mentioned you because you were the one to continue after I told everyone to behave themselves (in the other thread). I didn't single anyone out yesterday, just told ALL of you to stop bickering. Everyone did but you, so I spoke to you directly. Surely it can't be "naming and blaming" in any way since people can see the names of whoever posts anyhow? It's not anonymous. smile
