Harry: Did you see Passing Strangers on C4 recently?

I think having a sense of humour is a pre-requisite for living up here! laugh

Didn't see that programme. About the only think I get to on C4 is the superb Flashbacks, and even then not as often as I'd like frown

Cue talk of flashbacks in general...

This may be a bit of a no-brainer, but what is the latest on the Monument gig / Voxgate etc etc ?

Is there a firm date / venue or are negotiations continuing ?

At least now you'll all recognise me when we all reconvene ... excited

Well Ak, we're still rehearsing like mad un's, although not for the last 3 weeks due to family stuff, holidays etc etc. wink

Our drummer Gavin has to work most weekends, so it's quite difficult to get us all in the same place at the same time just now but , we're nearly there. smile

We've now got the laptop up & running for the sequenced stuff & thats a great improvement

Harry: What? Still no personal avatar? You're not concerned that I'll recognise you in the street next time I'm in Auckland, are you? Then again, how many million people live in Auckland these days? I suppose the chances are quite high. wink Hey, after all, I ran into Florian Schneider in Queen Street!

I was told by someone that Passing Strangers was on 'Flashbacks' on C4, which I find quite strange. I mean, if you mention Ultravox to anyone out here who may remember them, it's always, "Oh, Vienna...". Although, I did finally meet someone who went to the Christchurch Town Hall show in January/February 1982, so that was cool.

I'm not sure if there's anything else of interest that I've missed on 'Flashbacks'... I did see some Tears For Fears one night. It'd be nice if they had an electro' pop/rock evening, but in this very PC nation of terminology and highly-strung twatism, Ultravox will always be labelled as New Romantic, which I've never understood, myself.

Anyway, rant over...

I hope all is well...

The Monument tribute web page is unavailable through the original link at the moment. You should be able to reach it through this link...

Temporary address for Monument web page thingy....

Nothing has changed yet, but we will be throwing a few piccies and some more sound bites up within the next couple of weeks...provided we manage to get Sleepwalker to stop hiding from cameras... bemused I think he thinks we will have control of his soul if we catch his image on one of those modern machines... eek They really are quite primitive on the east coast.... excited
