Sleepy, I will be on the blower to Brian on Monday to sort out all contractual issues!!! Can't think of a more appropriate venue than the Citrus for Monuments first outing either!!! Keep that date in your diary people, fingers crossed, it's gonna happen!! I can hear the sharpening of pencils and the rustle of note books already.......... Hope that sideyways dancing is being worked on Mikey.......

Sleepwalker... What a perfect timing. That would be exellent time for me. I am on my summer holiday that time and I could spent few days in Scotland and have a little time just for myself. Everyone married with kids, knows what I am talking about. I was hoping to visit Glasgow, but Edinbourg is as fine. I have been once in E.(1986-87?) but never in G. Well, are we talking about voxgate as well? I quess it is obvious Please Folks, participate!!! I am looking forward to hear from you Sleepwalker (Monument). Just as soon as you know for sure the date, IŽll reserve ticket. I have to be sure, Žcause I am going to fly cheap no money return, no flight changes what so ever Cheers, ari If you need professional photographer to capture that evening or/and some Monument "press shots"(for free), please let me know. Perhaps you could find me some cheap hotel to stay in return. It is no way problem to me to carry some of my stuff. Believe me, I am used to do it And IŽll carry some camera anyway...

Sam, I'll be practicing the sideyways dancing in Florida for a couple of weeks before the gig... I'll either come back tanned, toned and tripping the light fantastic or sunburnt, sozzled and suffering.... Either way, the sound of Ultravox will be blaring from at least one car on the east coast of the US........I really should get my hearing checked...I think it comes from rehearsing with Monument on Saturday mornings...I always end up "Deaf in the Afternoon"....

Auld Reekie is an affectionate term for Edinburgh borne from their neighbourly habit of projecting toilet waste out the windows of tenement buildings on to unsuspecting passers-by below. Whilst the above is true , it isnt why Edinburgh is called "Auld reekie". Reekie in old Scots translates as "smokey" rather than the current meaning of "smelly" . Got nickname because of dense population on the Royal Mile creating lots of smoke from fires and creating a permanent haze over the city.

We're not exactly painting a desirable picture of Edinburgh here in a thread that is trying to get people to come and support the Monument gig.... Surely we could come up with a slogan that would project it in a good light... Something like - "Come to Edinburgh for a laugh and go back home in stitches" Seriously though, Edinburgh is a beautiful city.... Thanks for the information David L....That's a right guid willie-waught I owe ye' (If ye come up fur the gig of course....)

Don't go there ML....I've already been warned by the powers that be of the last petroleum comment that was made!!! It wasn't a petroleum comment - I'm genuinely happy that David L corrected me. I'd rather the correct story was posted rather than my assumption Look forward to positive news from the Citrus club...

Sleepy: Go and phone the Citrus NOW, before I do. Piggy and Mike C: Now that you have confirmed your attendance, we may have to send for Thelma and Louise to return from Amsterdam, we know you are SO dying to meet that pair of wee minxs...... Other Mike: You sound like a Scot Abroad. I quite agree that you should never judge a person's nationality by where they currently live! Do you speak Gaelic by any chance! :p

For the purposes of this post my name is Cerise. RULES OF THE FORUM - Section 3, Subsection 2, Paragraph A states; "When a forum member reaches 1000 posts he/she will be assumed to be the saddest amongst us and to redeem themselves they will need to buy all the drinks and curries at the next Voxgate". So, Sleepy me owld mucka, with that in mind the beers and ruby's are on yee on 23rd July or whatever date in August you were planning! Oh, and I've amended your post tally to 1001 in case you were thinking of being a tight wad by not posting any more and staying on 999!!
