Hi Peeps! Cerise has kindly included Monument in the latest news letter which most of you should have had through your email by now? As Paul Chaplow said! We are really keen to put together some kind of 'Official' Voxgate for sometime in March of next year, Oi! Mark! what about The Thought Criminals playing too? There may be the prospect of Global Citizen doing a FULL Numan set & we also have a contact who's involved with a Human League tribute who are gagging to play live soon. We need some feedback from you, the forum punters before the 12th of next month..(November) if possible to see if this would be at all possible to pull off C'mon guys...lets make this happen & put more faces to forum names, it was good to see a good turn out at the Montagu Pike yesterday, much like the turn out we had a couple years back at the Foxx/ Voxgate / Glasgow gig Quite a few of the attendees for the above have became good pals since & also spreading the of word of all things Ultravox! Regards... Sleepy

The idea behind Birmingham for venue was that it would be central for everyone, not least for Monument themselves. It has the same positive points as London: >venue hire >promotion is easy >choice of hotels >not obscure location >public transport facilities >airport close by for those coming from overseas But also has: >easier parking >slightly cheaper hotels I know I'd rather travel to Birmingham, and it's roughly the same distance there as to London, for me.

I know I'd rather travel to Birmingham, and it's roughly the same distance there as to London, for me. I think we have to look at covienence or viability. London is probaly more viable but Birmingham more conveninat for some. From a vibailty view I know a lot who of people who would turn up to a london event. Who don't post here but love Ultravox. Im just coming form a promotions sense. Obviously as UVOX fan I want the most new faces and faces there possible. I know members of the Human Leauge crowd and Numan crowds who would definatlty turn up to such an event in London.. And the Electric Dreams crowd.

This is the main reason we ask our chum Cerise to dish out the news letter with a view to getting some feedback from the forum on weither people would be interested in coming to an event such as this. Both locations are viable, we're really not bothered where we play in the UK as long as it's easy for everyone to get to. Chappie?

Lets see if we cant get a really big crowd out for this. Im backing the london bid lol I just think it would work there and relalisticly would be suceccesfull and i ahve so mnay clubs at my finger tips to flyer.. And get a lot of new faces there. HotELS.. cheap one opposite which has single rooms only £35 and cheaper as you can get mini dorms of 6 beds for 15 odd quid per person a night. Also ideal for Rob and people who want stalls in the front bar part.End of march would be good urtle. Only other venue i know which would be good is Purple Turtle one tube stop form Kings cross 200 capacity venue biug stage excelent lighting and location, some car parking space on street from 7pm and 2 a clock liscene easy to get anywhere at night from...

I'm not so sure on that - I do think being London-centric put some people off really. Having an event more central may encourage other EV/UV-ers to come - if it's dependent on a club crowd, maybe you have a point. But surely there are clubs in the Birmingham area that run 80s based events/nights and that would jump at this sort of thing, no?
