Here's some of my humble thoughts (Very humble as I haven't managed to contribute myself for several reasons):
I think the idea of a theme is splendid, and the suggested one might be a real challenge :p
However, it might be a good idea to have it as a section and not the entire competition as that might narrow it down too much, resulting in a few contributions.
May I also take the opportunity to express my gratitude towards all of you that have contributed, your versions has been entertained me on my train rides to and from work: Thanks all of you!
