Hi folks!

Entries to the Covers Competition are a little slower this year (come on everyone, get those creative juices flowing!), so we have put the end date back from April 1st to August 1st 2011.

Don't forget that this year's prize is a beautiful screen-printed Return To Eden 2009 tour poster, autographed by Midge Ure, Warren Cann, Billy Currie & Chris Cross.

Laydeez and gentlemen, start your engines please! laugh

Oh my, an extra 4 months to work on stuff? This could be dangerous... to me getting other things done, that is.

Anyway, here's what will be at least one of Box of Sky's entries in this year's competition: a re-cover of "Dream On":

It features the vocals of my 7 year old daughter (with a spoken intro by her 2 year old sister).

Hi Cerise

I've sent you an entry for the Best Covers category by a group called RGB.

My entry into the competition is now at final mix, and off for mastering. I'm now trying to decide -- based on how the track turned out -- whether it should go into "Best Cover" or "Best Re-Cover". I'm thinking maybe the latter, because I really did try to put my own heart into a tremendous original, and didn't try AS hard to sound just like it. Yeah...maybe "Re-Cover". But I'll be getting that into you, Cerise, in just a bit.
