Well...once more then! take a look at: www.John.Foxx.de.vu YouŽll find a forum, a guestbook, infoŽs on John Foxx and the Ultravox! island years. ThereŽs also a gallery, a discography, news... and so on. Have fun! BP Btw: I got all the pictures from the internet as I donŽt have a digicam or a scanner or whatsoever, nor did I visit any concerts to show my own pics. The pictures have no copyright but if you find a picture which is yours: please let me know and within a reasonable time IŽll delete it or put your name under it. IŽll also be happy about some new stuff which youŽd like to see at that page. Language: german and english!

"Dislocation" is on Systems Of Romance. Great song! Definitely one in a style that John Foxx would follow early in his solo career. It also doesn't make it surprising that songs like "He's A Liquid" and "Touch & Go" would have originated during Foxx' time in Ultravox. Although, in a way, I'm glad he took them and recorded them for himself, because I never really liked much how they sounded live with Ultravox in 1979... (Don't hurt me!!) "Cross Fade" took a bit of getting used to, having only somewhat recently heard it. It's still not one of my favourite Ultravox tracks, but it's pretty good. Mrs. X

Picky, picky, picky!!! ) It has what appears to be a first appearance of the so-called Metal Beat in the style of percussion. Must admit i was greatly taken with the whole weirdness of John Foxx and stuck with him over the years.
Grant I worked backwards. Discovered John himself first, then his era in Ultravox(!). I haven't looked back on either since. Mrs. X
