Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I've compiled a discography of releases by Ultravox and its members over the years. Well, I still compile it, 'cause it has some omissions, etc., but for the most part it's complete. You can look at it here: --- http://fadingwave.h12.ru/ultravox/ultravox_discography.htm --- Hope you'll like it

So many thanks to you all for your kind words! And of course feel free to correct me - it's a list of information I've found over the Net, and the Net is full of mistakes as you know! I really look forward to corrections and additions, so if somebody has something to say, add or correct - well, I'm waiting for you! And thanks for these comments, I'll correct the list ASAP.

Actually I am! But I'll be fully proud when I'll finish this discography completely (as you can see, I still didn't compile "Miscellaneous" section). The compiling of discographies is some kind of a hobby to me - you can see list of others that I compile, here: http://fadingwave.h12.ru/other/fading-europeans_discographies.htm If somebody is interested, you're welcome!

Hello again (and again and again...), update again. Well, now this has be *almost* finished version of the discography - OK, it's still a little short on information (mostly track times), but all entries are there, all records that are related to the band or its memebers are indicated. --------- http://fadingwave.h12.ru/ultravox/ultravox_discography.htm --------- The projects covered are: * Part I - Tiger Lily * Part II - Ultravox!/Ultravox * Part III - Billy Currie * Part IV - John Foxx * Part V - Midge Ure * Part VI - miscellaneous (various solo projects) * Part VII - Modern Man/The Messengers Later I'll maybe post here what's still missing from the list, and the discography itself will of course be updated with new releases and other data, but for now - ENJOY!

Awesome! Actually it would be nice to put something together. But I don't know how to be honest! I'm sure people on here could provide some interesting piccies and information etc.? - I haven't got too much of the stuff but what I have I could provide with scans? - Might be nice to tie in with a little "history" of the given artists and interesting facts? Anyway - just ideas! Ideals perhaps, plain fantasy and imagination!

Hi all, some problems took place, but now they're solved and my Ultravox discography has a new address: --- http://fadingwave.h16.ru/ultravox/ultravox_discography.htm --- It has some more additions, not earth-shatteringly important, but still. So enjoy!

Just been looking at the discography and I didn't know a live LP was available to fan club members in 1981. Has anyone got this or heard it. What's the sound quality like? Why has it never been released on CD? I also didn't know Billy's Uvox put out a re-recorded version of vienna in 1992, was it any good. Seems impossible to find. Tryed ebay etc.

Thanks for pointing me to this! This gave me a little bit confusion. I own this bootleg like many others of you too. But it differs from the playlist on Vladimir's site. I compared it so far only with a short view. My bootleg is named "Rimini C (Re-record)": a) THE THIN WALL's playtime is 5'24 b) WE STAND ALONE is missing completely c) ACCENT ON YOUTH's playtime is 4'55 d) additional: THE ASCENT 2'02 e) YOUR NAME's playtime 5'08 (often these 3 tracks are joined somehow on RIE-bootlegs, counting it together will fitting the times described on Vladimir's site) e) THE VOICE 4'35 is an additional track on the bootleg, not listed on Vladimirs site. Does it really belong to that concert? The quality of the RIMINI-bootleg in general is very good. It is not FM-quality but somehow better than an "ordinary tape-recording" done by somebody. The Vienna-Recording from 92... Well I think this is the so-called (classic-mix). It was a failed try for my taste and taste may differ you know. I think it was a later line-up with Mr. Fenelle. Currently I am trying to put this together with some other "rare" tracks onto a new compilation . I will give it to anybody here when it is really finished and polished a little bit more. If you are looking for a better later version of VIENNA, then give the version on the FUTURE PICTURE (live-recording from Italy too) a try. This is the better one I think. In general this CD is not as bad as described often. If you expect to hear Midge's voice, it is disappointing, but this record is a good live-recording from INGENUITY-era. Billies synth's are wonderful, guitar-work too. My only really complain is the drumming. For me it is just like playing it, without any emotion. Warren did a perfect job, Mark had his own style (and it was not bad!!!), but this. Not my cup of coffee. But give it a try yourself. BV

It sounds to me like a radio recording which could well have ended up on vinyl (or maybe flexi disk?) for fanclub use. It's not a bad recording though, certainly one of the better ones, although it can't match the "soundboard" ones. Does anyone have a better RIE bootleg than Rimini? LH

Hi everyone! The sourse to include that "Live in Rimini" LP was the discog from the other Midge Ure site, "Homeland", which sadly seems to be defunct now. This concert was listed there in Ultravox discog as a "fan club-only release" so I decided to put it in my discog too. If it actually was a bootleg I'll delete it 'cause I don't include boots in my list, but until this is unconfirmed the info will be present. Maybe Cerise or Rob can shed some light? mark s, I have those "Vienna '92" track in mp3, if you'd like I can post them for you. In my opinion those 2 remixes are complete crap, butcherings of one of the 80's greatest songs. Still can't believe Billy Currie had this much to do with them

Sorry if I'm a bit late on this, but the Vienna 92 stuff was actually re-recordings by the Ultravox line up at that time (Billy and Tony Fenelle), so there's no remixing of the original as such, just re-mixing of an already re-recorded version (this could get quite confusing...).
As for the Rimini 81 concert as an official release, I can't imagine this would have happened. But, you know, I'm always open and happy to be corrected if wrong...
:-)

As far as I know, the Live in Rimini album, despite saying 'Fan Club release' on it, is a bootleg. It was indeed on vinyl, I saw a copy some years ago, along with a double bootleg album called Echoes of Pleasure and yet another with what looked like the Loch Ness Monster on the front, Lonely Creatures I think it was called. I don't think that one had an actual gig on it, I have a vague memory of it being one side Vienna album and one side Rage, or something like that - not a gig at all, and certainly not what it said on the sleeve. Rob may recall more.

Hi guys! Just wanted to announce that my former site is no more and I have a new one: http://www.discogs.h17.ru/ There are some discographies by various 80's artists, including that my "Ultravox & solo" discog. It's not uploaded yet, but by the next week it'll be online. So change your bookmarks ) And welcome, of course!

They are indeed official releases, by Billy's reincarnated version of Ultravox, in 1992. [/b]Is it possible for these to be available on this site? I'm now curious to hear them!
