In US Dollars, the Prophet '08 is $2,000 for online purchases.
With the favorable exchange rate it would be approximately half that amount for those paying with british sterling if purchased here in the US.

I think Turnkey are stocking them at about £1,499 - I seriously thought about getting one from the US, but by the time you've paid the extra tax and customs duty, it pushes the price upto around £2,000 bemused

I shall continue with my FrankenModular Project as soon as I'm back in the UK.

Cape Town = Sunny, but bloody windy!!! shock

Hi Sleepy!!! smile

Thanks a whole lot!!! smile
I can only say the same about you
and Chappie - really great taste!!! smile
How is it turning out with your new Kurzweil
monster machine??? I really don`t know a lot
about it.
By the way: there is a K250 on sale here in
DK at the moment. Not that often you see that.
It goes for £1000. I don`t know if that
is a reasonable price. It´s a guy I know, who has
a quite outstanding synth collection.

MicroWave 1 (YEAH!): I didn`t know, that you
both have one - when did you get it???
- Blue rev. 1 (CEM3389) or greyish rev. 2 (CEM3387)?
I got the blue one - I once had the greyish one too - but sold it sad
They both sound GREAT - though a little different.

I got some sounds, if you are interested, both of you!

See you matey! smile

PS: The Waldorf Blofeld will have
the "upper wavetable" PPG-feature
that we all miss in the MicroWave 1.

Hey Jesper,

The Kurzweil K2600XS sounds great!, what a machine
It has the mighty KDFX engine in it, triple strike piano & vintage sound roms with the contemporary & orchestral boards fitted as standard, full sample ram...a vast improvement on the K2500XS.

I reckon £1000 is a really good deal on a K250, they are fantastic for strings, pads & piano sounds! smile

I have the version 2.0 software (CEM 3387?) Microwave, pretty sure Paul has the same?
I'll need to check it out at the weekend.
I'd like to get the backlight on mine changed to the blue LCD with the black background...any idea where I can purchase the kit from?
confused2
I'd love to get the PPG Wave soundset for mine, or any other sounds for that matter, so I think I'll take you up on that matey, cheers pal wink

Sounds GREAT with your new Kurzweil Sleepy!
The EFX-section is really really COOL,
I´ve read. Especially the reverb - just
look at the Rumour reverb. Rather cheap
and outstanding!

MicroWave 1: Well, what I meant is: Do you have the one with blue front or the one with the
greyish front? The one with the blue front
is revision 1 with the CEM3389 filter
- and the one with the greyish front is revison 2
with the CEM3387 filter.

I also got the 2.0 software which is essential
- it adds all the extra wavetables + some other
features.
I think it sometimes is a nightmmare to program it. How do you do it - on the front, PC-editor or hardware editor? Soundtower has done a rather cool editor. I also use the one in SoundDiver.

Yes, the display can be a problem - my old greyish one had that problem too. I don`t
know, where you can get a kit - but I would
contact Waldorf!

I will send you the sounds within a couple of days - I got the PPG-soundset and a some other
pretty good sets.

Cheers matey! smile
Jesper

PS: The OS 2.0 isn`t actually software
- you have to change the two EPROMS.
