I know that there is a certain amount of information about Cowboys International on the web, including their official site (!), but does anyone on this board have any opinions on them, or contemporary accounts?

Iwas a member of the final Cowboys International lineup alongside Stevie Shears We can be heard on the album Cowboys International Revisited playing the song Too Much Too Little(strings by Fiachra Trench).Ken and I have just been in touch again after many years.I knew Ken from the time of his early recordings with Keith Levine .I also recorded with a version of Cowboys featuring Marco Perroni.Hey!someone should research this. AjantaMusic in the area.

Hi Paul! Thanks for your answer, though I thought that info of Stevie playing with Cowboys International is incorrect. Which years did he play with the band?

Also can I ask you to check this section and maybe add some details or clear the info? It's be really great to know the info from the first hands!

Hi Vladimir, Stevie and I toured and recorded with Cowboys and Ken Lockie solo (The Impossible) in 1980. We played the last ever Cowboys International gig at the Kantkino Theatre in Berlin.Robs only recordings with Neo are on Live at the VORTEX .

Hi Paul! Thanks an enormous lot to you for your information - it's very interesting to know the whereabouts of persons related to Ultravox, especially given a nearly total lack of such information on the Net.

You made my (and not only my, I hope) life a lot easier excited

Thanks a lot again!

This has come up to some extent on www.mickmercer.com about this amazing record store i had in my hometown Ashford, Middx. The manager was a Shadows / Cliff nut but he used to somehow order all the best / weirdest indie music. Getting rapidly to the point he sold me "THRASH" single by Cowboys Intl. and it was one of my favourites of all time. I also have that Ken Lockie "solo" album that has auspicious guests like various Simple Minds.

Hi Paul! Be sure I'll try to get people interested in your music.
Great to know you enjoyed Russia. Did you play your shows in St. Petersburg in 2000 or simply visited the city? It's interesting 'cause I know that Chris and Midge visited Russia in various decades, and to know that you and Robin were here too is really pleasing.

Saw CI live circa 79 at the BBC Studio 'Paris' in Lower Regent St. It was a recording for Radio One 'In Concert'. They were supporting Chelsea. Have to say that they were naff! My pal ZaZa actually fell asleep during the set!

Well you're in for a real treat with the Ken album. IMHO it's as good as Cowboys Intl., and is similar enough to appeal to their fans.
