Found this during one of my midnight web-trawling escapades. As a long-time afficionado of the lower end of the Yamaha CS series (one CS15, three CS5s...), I've always been on the lookout for a decent condition CS01. So I was pretty chuffed when I found this virtual recreation (Cubase VSTi).

I have to say that the bloke's got it pretty damn right - especially the PWM - it sounds REALLY like my CS5s.

And it's free!

I used to have a CS01 - it was my first ever synth and, given that it only had one oscillator and it was quite a powerful little beast. smile

I'll download this at some point and give it a go. Cheers for the pointer, Phildo. smile

What a great set of synths these are.

I've got the two CS01's and the CS33 - the latter is brilliant.

As for the CS01's, I've been using them to teach my two kids (10 year old daughter and 9 year old son) how to program synths, using an Evolution MK449C MIDI keyboard controller. Fab soft synths.
