Oooh, ooh, ooh... Almost forgot... for THAT vibrato sound, raise LFO CV into OSC 1 - Phew!

Would it be easier if I upload an Oddy template somewhere?

Hi Mo`s Lotion!

THANKS - really really GREAT - even more
POWER!!! laugh
And I think you are just right: Maybe a big
surprise to many people...the Roland JP8000
is actually a really really great substitude
for the Arp - you can program some reeaaaly
GREAT Currie-leads using the Feedback OSC!!!

Thanks again and all the best! smile

Yeah - can you email me your Oddity's bank file please (the .PBK file) - the once containing this sound so I can try it out?
Many Thanks

The template I have will have to be scanned, as it's from an original ARP Odyssey template I did about 17 years ago!!

I'll see how close I can recreate it on the Oddity and put up a link.

That would be great - sorry, I thought you had re-created it in the Oddity,

If anyone has any other cool Oddity or Oscar banks - email them to me and I would be glad to host them.

Hi Gazza! smile

Unfortunately I don`t have the Oddity anymore
or the great lead patch I did, but try and
mail Scott or Flip - people here are always
very helpful!

If I were you, then I would buy the Billy
Currie Signature soundset for the impOSCar!
There are a lot of great sounds in there
including the LGA lead! You can buy it here:
http://www.gforcesoftware.com/signature_sounds.php

Good luck!
Jesper

I also have a copy of Billy's ARP Odyssey 'Lead Sound' on an old patch sheet, that was given to me by the guy i bought my Odyssey from.

It's spot on & even better when fed through either an Electric Mistress or MXR T-117 flanger

Give me a shout if anyone would like a copy of this.
I also have a patch sheet with Chris's 'Moog bass' patch for the Minimoog cool

Hi Gazza! smile
You got mail again - hopefully!

I received some sort of a "Time Out"
mail, when I sent the first one. Strange!

Let`s hope it works this time!

Well, it's now official... Billy *is* using Gmedia's Oddity and VSM and Chris is using Minimonsta as part of their live setup - I guess it would be an obvious choice really.

Meanwhile, I'm waiting for an ARP Solus to arrive from the US. It's not working frown but I'm sure I can breathe some life into it excited

ARP Solus arrived yesterday at 3:30pm... Had it all working by 6:45pm excited

Not quite as versatile as the Oddy, but still sounds great, and apart from not being able to modulate VCO 1 on it's own (I've a few modifications ready to go) it can do Billy's lead with no problem smile

Can you send me one too (jouni@salo.bz)?

I just got Oddity on my mac and I'm looking for a decent midi controller keyboard. Any recommendations?

I contacted Jouni offline and shared that Billy was using a Novation Remote SL Compact 49 to control most of his leads.

Midge was using the Novation SL 61 as his main board.

Hi guys (first post)

Could I ask very nicely if someone could share either a patch sheet or an oddity preset (or both, different attempts and views are helpful) for that classic billy currie lead?

I can't believe I only just found this forum...

Do someone here still have the

I don`t have it myself anymore.

Jesper has very kindly already sent me his patch sheet, but I wonder if anyone has an oddity preset knocking around?
