Time to start making a bit of space in my studio, so before I get round to putting them on ebay in a few weeks I thought I'd offer up on a couple of forums.

The JX 8P is in excellent condition apart from 1 or 2 scratches consistent with being gigged (before I bought it). Also comes with a full custom made flightcase. Offers over 170 quid please.

The PG800 is compatible with the JX-8P, JX-10 and also with the MKS-70 synth (module version of the JX-10). In excellent condition, it comes BOXED with its own silver/grey carry case as well (and of course the lead to connect it up). Doubt there's one out there in better condition to be honest. Offers over 200 quid please. Funny old world when programmers are worth more than the synth but PG800s do make things SO much easier and so are very sought after.

Both of these used to belong to Paul Ward, 1 of the 80s Sheffield electronic music scene and a longtime contributor to Sound on Sound magazine.

The PG800 can be posted anywhere ok - the JX is for collection or possible delivery by me for petrol money, depending on location (UK only).

I know what you mean - I LIKE the keyboards...I just don't play the hardware as much as I did... I guess I'll be selling the Yamaha AN1x next...

The Yamaha AN1x...one of the most underrated
synths in history in my opinion...and THE best
VA-synth ever made! Well, that`s my opinion! smile
I had one myself but had to let it go - I didn`t have the room for it...it was the vintage Yamaha SK20 or the AN1x...it was a sad day, when I think about it. Lovely instrument!!!

Thanks a lot for that very kind offer Flip! smile
If I had some extra space, I would definitely
consider it!
One of my favorite tricks was to set the ribbon
controller up very much like on the CS80
- one octave up and several octaves down (3 or 4
can`t remember....the CS80 goes down to infinite
or something like that though). You really can
do these Billy Currie sounds that way on the AN1x. And you really can make it sound very
close to some of those CS80 sounds.
Just listen to these outstanding vids from
the programmer Jexus:

Just goes to show what you can DO with it if you take the time... Certainly not just any old virtual analogue. Nice links, ta! smile
