Hi everybody,

Midge's latest post on Twitter sounds exciting... What do you think? :-)

"Still in the studio with Ultravox making what is turning out to be possibly the best work we have done collectively, ever! How strange!"

How exciting is that? Midge´s comment sounds very promising, doesn´t it? And for sure we will not get "Pink Thing II"

Oh the little teaser! :-) Sounds fab and can't wait,,,perhaps checked out the forum and realised we were all getting itchy feet ,,,,very exciting news, sounds like it's going to be a very polished, mature and innovative work and all the band seem happy with it too,,,

I'm thinking the album might have a slightly 'darker' or 'moodier' feel to it & somewhere of a cross between Vienna & RIE.

Can't see it being remotely like any of the other albums.

I think The Prodigy said that their last album had "filler" on it!

I think we just passed the line between Midge trying to manage our expectations to him getting mildly excited about the new album...

This could be brilliant indeed.

I'm imagining a cross between the raw energy and synth experimentation of Vienna combined with the darkness and moodiness of Rage In Eden...

Can't wait to hear it!!

Unbelievable!!! And the "how strange" comment points out - pls correct me if I am wrong - that he still doesn't seem to believe (in) it... :-)

OK, let's look forward and hope for the best. laugh

Dominic - still sorry I missed you in Embra, will have to catch up sometime...(?)

Love n peace,

Isabel (more there than here, in fact - but it happens!!)

Hi Isabel & all,

Well, it seems that Ultravox will promote the forthcoming new album with a new tour. Therefore expect me to fly back to Europe and attend at least one of these gigs. We'll then be able to catch up! :-)

Just be patient! ;-)

Take care.

Dominic

Rage in Eden is in a class of its own, as is the Foxx era Systems of Romance. As such, any subsequent release I'd never even compare with these pivotal albums! The new album will be good, and I will expect it to be different to all that has gone on before. I shall judge it on its own merit wink

" It's the old school way of doing things, when you've got a new record, you get out there and promote it"
