Just got this today. Is it me or is it sonically crap? I'm no expert but I can certainly tell when a record sounds a bit 'harsh'.

It's like the old days, having the tone control set too high,

Although I have both I could just listen to the 1993 version which sounds good. The 2001 version is in my brother's flat... .

Well to my ears the versions on the actual albums just sound better. They sound 'warmer'.
