Making Movies is one of the three 'new' tracks on the Drive EP, limited edition available during the Crash and Burn tour.
I don't know if you can still get this?

IMHO this track and Underwater Dream Sex represent John's best work from this whole period.

Track listing:
01 Drive
02 Broken furniture
03 Underwater dream sex
04 Making movies
05 Your shadow
06 Broken furniture ( album version )
07 Drive ( album version )

Hope this helps

I'd disgree slightly as I think that Drive and Broken Furniture are actually his best, but still...

I'm pretty sure the only way you'll find this EP now is on eBay or somewhere similar. I think they were only available on the C&B tour to start with, which was where I got mine.

We have not often the same opinion Si, but in this I have to agree. Though I like the hole Crash & Burn CD + the new tracks from the Drive EP my all time fave track from these two CD's is SEX VIDEO. I'm not tired to listen to this track again and again... It was a good opener for the Crash & Burn tour.

And for Angrymoose: You would not be disappointed with the Drive EP - it is worth to look for a copy of this. Great stuff.

I know I've said this before, but I'd like to point out that Underwater Dreamsex and Making Movies are essentially two versions of the same track, having the same chords, same tempo and several melody lines in common.
As a matter of facts, they can be superimposed very easily: witness my remix in the "sound" page @ http://www.beagle.it/foxx

Ciao,
Luca

well ... to me "underwater dreamsex" & "your shadow" both sound like there were left-overs of the "crash & burn" album sessions & for one reason or the other didn't made it onto that album & so were perfect b-sides , while "making movies" was a step forward again & a potential a-side or single song ... albeit luca might be quite right that there are certain similarities between "making ..." & "underwater ..." , but while "making ..." is much more like an epic song in itself , "underwater ..." is ol' style foxx & not really a step forward - imho , of course !!! wink

to me , "making ..." is by far the best song on the "drive ep" , especially as the edited versions of "drive" & "broken ..." are both ... erm ... crap , sorry !!! shocked
btw : therefore i've made myself a new radio edit of "broken ..." back then !!! wink
