Has any of John's music been used on film soundtracks?

So much of his music would be more than perfect for so many types of film. Better still, a whole soundtrack by John would be good...

I saw this film in the past and I remember of a instrumental version of Europe after the rain but only a half track and the people in the film are speaking . So it is not so important, but to get a clear version of Europe after the rain instrumental would be great. But I think it was only remixed for this film - not an official recording. I remember of " Making plans for nigel" from XTC in this film too....

At least it is an erotic film . SEX VIDEO! laugh

As far as I remember (and it's been absolutely ages since I've watched the film all the way through) John didn't write the whole soundtrack for Identification of a Woman, just some of the linking pieces. However, I do definitely remember it including a short instrumental version of Europe After the Rain. John is not planning to release any of this music. The other artists who appeared were as follows...

The Fire Inside : Steve Hillage
Palm Trees (Love Guitar) : Steve Hillage
Musick of the Trees : Steve Hillage
Stanlow : Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark
Souvenir : Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark
This Day : Peter Baumann
Tangram : Tangerine Dream
Ricochet : Tangerine Dream
Ten Feet Tall : XTC
Sons of Pioneers : Japan

Hope this helps...

Rob
