Not had a chance to look at DVD, but will watch later this evening. The Audio CD's sound fantastic you won't be disappointed, it really does sound great.

I ordered from Townsend Records and was lucky as post today in Scotland. Hopefully everyone else in the UK gets DVD/CD tomorrow in the post.

Oh yeah the limited A4 print also comes in a Do Not Bend envelope.

Well, Amazon are still showing my order as not despatched which means that I aint getting it until at least Tuesday I guess. And, as I work away from home all week means that I won't get to listen/watch it until at least Friday. Life, eh? Still, Hammersmith on Sunday...come on!

I'd ordered mine from Play as they've been amazing with stuff in the past, and mine is still up as a pre-order to, Thankfully I ordered another from Townshends when the offer came up so hopefully that one will arrive tomorrow. The kids can have my Play one so they don't keep nicking mine

My Townsend records account says "sent on 05/04/2010" but it's only 2nd today I'm probably the only one hoping it doesn't come tomorrow. Have to take daughter to dance class and the post always comes while I'm out. Our local postal workers always leave parcels on the doorstep if there's nobody in. If it's raining I dread to think what'll happen to my print

It should be ok hun, it's in a cardboard non-bend envelope which is inside a padded plastic bubble envelope/jiffy bag... just so long as your postie isn't a bit daft and tries to squeeze it through the door!

Just watched the documentary and laughed out loud at a conversation that run something along the lines of this:

My DVD and CD's arrived yesterday morning (Friday) Managed to watch a couple of songs, but listened to both CD's in the car while working. Will be going to watch the whole DVD shortly after I post this message

The Documentary is great, the first meeting, the tension and emotions. It looks like Chris walking along Princess Street Edinburgh before the anticipated 1st show.

My Roundhouse DVD has just arrived from Townsend our postie just stuffed it through the letterbox, the A4 print is a bit bent, but nothing a night underneath the mattress won't put right!!!!

Will be watching the DVD soon. I particularly like the embossed packaging, adds a bit of something extra to the whole thing.

Mine fell through the letterbox this morning, clattering to the floor like it was thrown, but no ill-effects, thankfully. Surprised that it was nothing more than a cardboard "envelope" from Amazon, but the quality of the contents far outweighed the appearance. I've already watched the docu (excellent, and with some very welcome, candid, at times uneasy sections), watched some of the gig, and currently ripping the audio to MP3 for the car. All in all, a very nice holiday-weekend surprise!

EDIT : What's the A4 print thing that folks are mentioning? Was this a Townsend-only kinda deal?

agree with Ray Ray, the packaging looks and feels nice! love the fact that it is released on Chrysalis, such a good move. makes it the first genuine 'new' release for 25 years, and that is worth a celebration.

just need an EP of new material now...

Got mine too. Looks great but I won't have the chance to watch/listen to it until later.

Great service from Townsend (as usual). The padded envelope had a 'fragile' sticker on it and the a4 card was in it's own card-backed envelope inside the main envelope. And we have the sort of postman who knocks rather than shoves, which helps!

Still waiting! Not looking good for today now!

one last comment from me, then I'm off... this is a brilliant release and the sound quality is terrific... if I am incredibly fussy, the final drumming on The Voice is not as chest-thumpingly dramatic as it is on Monument, but then much water has flowed since then... haven't got that far through the DVD yet, so it may need the visuals to do it justice.

I am now going to have to play the two DVD's back to back aren't I?

looking forward to reading the reviews, perhaps that needs a seperate forum entry...

PS come on Burnley and Sunderland, do Liverpool a favour! that would truely complete my day.

tried it on pc looks & sounds fab.
gonna watch it in full,on my 80 inch projector screen tonight,get the beers in !!!

OK this is the last just loaded and played on itunes, whislt syncing with ipod (ready for the car) and let the pc run on beyond The Voice... now listening to 'Sweet Surrender v loud and it sounds great! haven't bothered with U-Vox pinky for ages.. its not as bad as you lot bang on about... well, at least in places. bye

Success! Just to be on the safe side I left a note on the door for our postie, to put it in our paper recycling bin if it came while we were out this morning. It worked and I've now got my parcel safe and sound. Was a bit soggy round the edges as it was raining, but the print was ok as it was in another envelope as you mentioned. Know what I'll be listening to in the car this afternoon, luckily my 5 year old likes Ultravox

Mine arrived from Townsend this morning as well - I live fairly close to Great Harwood where their shop is, so it will have no doubt been around the houses on its way to me. Not had chance to listen yet. Mrs The Voice has buggered off to Birmingham for the weekend on some NASUWT conference leaving me toddler sitting for our 3 year old. So, early bath and bed for James, followed by a curry and a small bottle of beer (have to be responsible adult) for me, the new Doctor Who (who is a Blackburn Rovers fan so he's alright in my book !) and then DVD time. Will rip the CD's and listen to them on the bus on the way to work Tuesday.

Sadly mine arrived this morning. As the outer envelope hadn't been sealed (still has it's peel off strip) I only got the A4 artwork. The DVD must have fallen out.

Hope they can send me the DVD.
