The 2CD/DVD set is still available at www.musicnonstop.co.uk I just put an order in for my 'spare' copy - I like to have more than one copy of every Ultravox CD - I know - OCD!!! It cost me £20-75 incl 1st class P+P.

Hi, I still haven't received my Roundhouse DVD/CD even though I pre-ordered it almost straight after it was announced. I did receive the A4 print, I think about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I'm in Australia but I didn't think it would take this long. Are there any other overseas people who still haven't received it? I might have to email Townsend Records. Thanks!

Please do e-mail them. I contacted Townsend because I didn't receive my CD/DVD. They claim they sent it with the print, which I got about 4 days after it was shipped. I didn't get it. I asked for a replacement, and they told me they're out. Now they've sent me a lost-item claim form so they can replace my "lost" item. I ended up ordering another copy from eBay. Not a happy camper. Sorry to be so windy, but that's what I've been through. Other than us, has anyone else had this trouble? Staci

Hi there, I ordered the CD/DVD-package (at least I thought, I was ordering it) on April 11th. Yesterday the package arrived (with print) - but unfortunately it was only the Highlights-CD. Someone stated in this thread on April 11th, that Townsend had only the Highlights-CD available, no longer the CD/DVD-edition. So I think I did not read carefully, when I was ordering at Townsend. I just had the banner here on the Ultravox-Homepage in mind (which is still there, advertising the CD/DVD-package! EDIT: now they have removed the ad)... I'm mad about myself, as normally I do not order things without three times looking, if I'm ordering the right thing... I think, I have to order again one of the few remaining copies of the CD/DVD-set from Amazon marketplace (but now for 28 Euro = 23,50 pounds). Expensive, but especially after the excellent concert (I was at the Hannover-gig 2 days ago) I definitely need the DVD.

I got an e-mail from musicnonstop.com to say that on Monday they had 2 copies of the 3 disc set left and then during the afternoon they got 18 orders!!! They are hoping to get additional stock back in from the USA (stock which went from the UK originally and now has to come back again!!) Dread to think of the carbon footprint Anyway, in the meantime I ordered the 3 CD set from inandoutrecords through Amazon Market Place for about £30, and I have an e-mail to say its been despatched. They are still on Amazon as having stock as far as I know. They're located in Austria but I've got stuff from there before and they've always been OK. So if musicnonstop comes good I'll end up with 3 copies so keep any eye on the 'Sales and Swaps' threads folks

I got that email too. I suspect that all of this week's orders came from people on this forum! I ordinarily order from Townsend but also heard they were sold out, so this time i tried Juno records http://www.juno.co.uk/ They shipped to me in 4 days to the USA and the DVD set was only $27.99 USD with shipping included. I was very happy with them. The quality was excellent, and i didn't look that stupid during my interview in the documentary either! LOL

Hi, I'm a new member but have been an Ultravox fan since about 1983 when I was 13. I remember being played the Vienna album by an older friend on his Akai hi-fi and from then on I was hooked. I've still got the Collection album on vinyl I bought from Woolworths in 1985 with the extra limited edition record containing 12" versions, somewhere in the loft! Anyway, back on topic, I hadn't realised there was a live DVD until last week when I came across this forum, but by then it was too late to order one from the proper channels - everyone had sold out. However, I have found and bought one off ebay and I have had confirmation that it has been sent. I sent them an e-mail asking them to absolutely confirm it was the 3-disc version (the one that contains the DVD - which is in their description on their ebay listing), but I've had no reply. It looks from the listing that they've sold a fair number of these, so I'm wondering if anyone knows on this forum if the order is likely to be genuine or whether I'll be disappointed! Here is the ebay listing: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350343108597 Many thanks.

Hi pythonman. Love the 'Akai' detail. I've missed the boat on the 3 disc version. I'm certainly not going to pay what's being asked for it now. I'm not really interested in the DVD but would like the additional tracks off the 2CD version. I'm just going to buy the single CD and then itunes/amazon the rest of the tracks myself.

Yes, the Akai hi-fi - I'm not sure if it was the fantastic electronic sound of Vienna or the 24 band spectrum analyser that caught my attention more when I was 13!
I did pay by PayPal for the ebay item and the feedback rating of the supplier is pretty good, so here's hoping!
I'm an avid collector of surround sound music titles, live or studio, be it on DVD, DVD-Audio, SACD or Blu-Ray. So the fact that the Roundhouse DVD is listed as having DTS 5.1 makes me wait with keen anticipation!

Ordered the CD/DVD set from Amazon.co.uk a couple weeks ago because Townsend and MNS were sold out and it wasn't listed on my usual North American sites. Amazon's been sending me apologetic weekly updates saying they're still trying to get it.
Meanwhile, Amazon.ca now claims to have the CD/DVD in stock:
"Product Details
* Audio CD (April 27 2010) * Number of Discs: 3 * ASIN: B0039P5LKM
Deluxe three disc edition (two CDs + PAL/Region 0 DVD) featuring the entire 18 song performance plus a bonus DVD that also contains the full show and a documentary."
PAL? Surely some mistake. Anyway, they say it's in stock, they have a separate listing for the single CD version (as an import), and they're charging C$18.99. It's possible they've screwed up and this is actually a Canadian pressing of the CD only, but I ordered it. And I haven't cancelled the .co.uk order yet, just in case.
(Been an Ultravox fan for thirty years and they reunite when I'd been out of work for a year and couldn't afford to travel, and of course they didn't come here, and now I might lose out on the damn CD/DVD... yes, I'm a bit cranky about all this.)

Well, my copy arrived today!
It's been a long day - very long!
We are moving house and after teaching a morning at school, I have been lifting, carrying, chucking and hauling from lunchtime till 11pm! I am aching and sore!!
A weird day, digging out old memories and even throwing a lot of old stuff out (mixed feelings!) and looking around the old house here seing it all bare. We actually live in the new house on Saturday.
Also, yesterday I achieved my Master of Arts in Music Education, so there's been a lot going on. I'm quite pleased about that, though haven't had time to celebrate it - or even think about it much!
So, at the end of a day that felt like a week, I unwrapped the cellophane on my lovely new copy of the disc - thanks musicnonstop.co.uk!! - and started with "Building Eden". It's been great to see the candid shots and revealing moments (also nice to glimpse Edinburgh, the city of my birth, and Newcastle, where I went to college in the '90s, and it led very nicely to the concert footage.
Loving it so far, it's almost mesmerizing. I feel - simultaneously - very young and very old. Like a kid again, loving these songs as much as always, feeling inspired and enraptured and also aware of how much time has passed! The sound, as many have said, is very true to the "old days", but at the same time sounds more modern and somehow more "mature". Amazing how UN-dated it is sounding!
I put my Telecaster down to put my thoughts down and, as I type, lament has just finished and One Small Day just started. So far I think I've been most impressed with We Stand Alone and I Remember, though Mr.X, I must say, sounded even better than the original.
Pardon my rambling, I think I must get some sleep!
Loving the DVD though.
God Bless.

Ordered it at Amazon.de and received it after 5 days - on Monday this week. What can I say: MINDBLOWING (Billy) - FANTASTIC (Midginsky) - GOBSMACKING (Dr. Allen)!! Today I also had a few tears in my eyes, when I watched part of the documentary... And Dave: you make perfect sense!! And you don't look that tired!!

The Roundhouse gig was exactly a year ago.
The DVD is on at the moment and 'Mr X' is playing right now. Last time I saw this live was two nights ago.

TAPIO - You were the centre of attention at the Hammersmith Voxgate (and probably anywhere you show up, hahahaha!!!). Great man!!! DAVE - Must say I love Midge's expression of his emotional state(s). He therefore must have made a considerable internal process - good! And I particularly love his recognition of the fact of playing with UV again feels more right than what he has been doing ever since they went separate ways. I never made a secret of not exactly being into his solo stuff, I tried to listen to "Little Orphans" last year and it was - with all respect - impossible to make it until the end of the CD. No offence to anyone, ok, just a matter of personal taste. To me, MIDGE is a part of Ultravox. And the fact that he states that sacking Warren back then was wrong, that it was like cutting off an ARTERY, the fact of saying it in front of a camera lens makes him deserve all sympathies and respect again. GOOD. Now I have just been showing my musician flatmate a part of the documentary. To - again - realize that ARI cannot witness this with his own eyes, cannot feel the joy we all have been undergoing for the past year, that we cannot share these crucial moments with someone as impacting as he was, makes me terribly sad inside. Although it is important to always look ahead, it is impossible NOT to think about it. Especially when they play "Visions in Blue", his funeral song at Hietaniemi Hautausmaa, almost 5 years ago now... I miss him SO MUCH at the gigs! The Finn!

Got my Amazon.ca delivery today, and it is indeed the CD/DVD combo. The DVD looks and sounds wonderful, though I've only seen the first five or six songs so far.
FWIW, there's no "made in ___" info that I can see on the discs or packaging, but the Region O info on the DVD is in German. And yeah, NTSC. Amazon.ca has more in stock, for anyone still looking, but the price has gone up to C$25 since I ordered it.

Well, both musicnonstop.co.uk and inandoutrecords (Austria) via Amazon Marketplace came good, so as well as the Townsend copy I have 2 other copies of the 3 disc limited edition set.... .....even I don't need 3 copies So a copy is up for sale, unopened still in the cellophane wrapper. This copy from inandoutrecords cost me £34.....I don't expect anyone to pay that. So I thought if anyone is willing to pay £25 i'll donate £20 of that to Cerise and EV as a website running cost donation, the other £5 will cover postage and buy me a beer So if there's still anyone who hasn't got their copy and would like this one please e-mail me via EV and we'll get it sorted. M I've also posted this in the 'For Sale' thread

Yeah. Visions in Blue was the first live track that I saw Ultravox play in my satellite. It was the ORS show and a nice gent from my hometown gave me a copy of the recording. On that tape I discovered Simple Minds. New Gold Dream performed at the ORS. The other track Ultravox performed was I Remember. I thought at the time why on earth have they painted their keyboards grey.
I would have liked to have met Ari as he was all for Ultravox. He's greatly missed in this Forum. RIP. Your dream has now been realized.

Mandy - thank you, that's very kind. Kevin - yes, it has sold out and has been deleted by EMI. However, a quantity went to America (I've no idea how many) for their May 5th release date (TODAY!) and copies WERE available for pre-sale at Amazon.com . However it's now showing as 'ships in 1-2 months', so I suspect it sold out on pre-sales. I think either Mandy's offer above or eBay will be your best bet.
