I suspect if the pub is in any way busy, you might need to wave it, never mind carry it. smile

Was a good night! Didn't see you Scott, sorry - it took a while for some of us to find each other but had a good time once we did. Nice pub too!

Hi Flip, sorry I missed you too. I have been I'll the last couple of days so was feeling under the weather. We had a quick drink and something to eat and then had a walk to clear my head. We had a good time in the sound check, listenIng and chating to the boys, Helen was totally gobsmacked with the evening it was her first ultravox gig and I did not tell her until the last minute that she was going to meet the band, I think I will have to buy her the cd/dvd package for her birthday. we were sat directly in front of chris, just watching his face showing Shear delight and enjoying the whole evening. We are now looking forward to Oxford on Saturday

That was Phil (Flip) with that t-shirt on.

Great to see so many folk there who I recognised. Hayley, great to see you. Sorry I didn't get chance to chat but I'm sure we'll make up for that next time we catch up. Great company pre, during and after gig. Lovely to see Lavaocean, Paul, Flip, Jojo, Iria (PAA, lol), Gray, Andrea, Jim, Annis, Midgevox, Jenny, Chris, Ste, Michael, Nicola.. the list is endless, so sorry if I've missed anyone (Some names may not be known to some of you, as they're from the Simple Minds fanbase of friends of mine!!)

Thanks to all the kind people I met in Liverpool: JOJO & husband, FLIP, SHIRL, DARREN-MIDGEVOX (thanks for the RIE tie pin, mate!), CHRIS CURRAN, PAUL H. (such shame Pip couldn't make it!) and... JOHN LEVER (whom I hadn't seen since 1994!!!!!!!). Really great to talk to all such good vibes!! Thanks, folks! laugh

Annoying to have to admit that it was my first time ever in Liverpool and I couldn't do the Beatles tour! They were my first favourite band, 3 years before Ultravox!

Funny anecdote: there was this very friendly Scottish family sitting at breakfast at the table next to me next morning. The man was singing "No Regrets", so I turned to him and asked surpisedly whether they'd been at the concert the night before. They had no idea that UV had been playing there!! The guy happened to have been the keyboard player on a Midge album called "When You Smile, I'm In Heaven" that apparently was never released (sorry for my ignorance, I am no solo-Midge fan). We had a wee chat, very nice people, the 2 kids had outstandingly good manners and looked very happy. smile

I'm two years late with this post but I was there on the night and so thrilled to be there, it was a fantastic concert and the people I was with ( some family and friends who weren't to up to date with the playlist ) were amazed that I could sing along to all the songs ( over 30 years of practice of course ) and highlights were '' death in the afternoon and sleepwalk '' .Pity I wasn't around this forum back then ,I would have met up with a few of you in the Philhamonic pub across the street so hopfully I'lll get the op urtunity again in near future smile
