The Voxgate for Bristol will be at The Hatchet pub in Frogmore Street as last year. It's the oldest pub in Bristol and is about a minute's walk from the rear of the Colston Hall. It does do food. Oh and there's a multi-storey NCP car park (Trenchard Street) opposite the rear of the Colston Hall, for those driving. smile

The other Bristol thread has been deleted. Whatever disagreement is going on is a private matter between those involved - please keep it off of the Forum. Don't make me start the year by handing out suspensions, it'll make me very grumpy. And if I do have to suspend anyone, you won't be allowed back until after the tour - you have been warned. mad

Hi Ian,

For Bristol, the Travelodge Central hotel from the same group is also available for £29 per room on Monday 12th. It's central to the town, and very close to the Bristol venue, so I’d recommended this be the one you get for this concert if you are able to.

Regards,

Paul

I've been looking at the Premier Inn for Bristol - there are a few - is King Street close to the venue?
Thanks wink

Ian - you'll be right behind Rob and I - Row A, 5&6! smile

Jus - Yes, Premier Inn at King Street is a short walk away from the venue. About 5 mins, I'd say.

It's walkable in around 15-20 mins (depending on your speed), or take a taxi outside the station, it's just a short ride. smile

I'm in Row B, 7 & 8 so I'll almost be directly behind you as well!

Nice to meet you and chat with you briefly at the Oxford New Theatre Cerise (I spoke with you right at the end of the gig from a few seats back). I'm sure you must have had a few "passing strangers" come up and say 'hi' to you after recognising you from here so I hope you didn't mind me introducing myself.

See you tonight for another great Ultravox show woohoo

Had an absolutely wonderful time....didnt want it to finish!! Thanks to Brian for looking after me in the pub and then we find ourselves sat together in the concert. Small world!!

Drive home was a little fraught, as got shall we say lost and instead of rejoining the motorway at Avonmouth, ended up at the Airport. Then the A38 was closed, so had a trip over Dartmoor. Got home at 2.30am!! But not complaining!!!

Best wishes,

Martin

Hi Martin,

Nice to meet you too.

I think we must have bought our late Bristol tickets on the same day.

Thanks for putting up with me.I was so tired from the weekend in London that I was quieter than usual.

Cerise spotted me at the bar & remarked that I was staring into space.I was zonked from lack of sleep.Glad I only did 3 dates.

Dont know how the band & crew cope.

Brian

Don't think I've been that tired in ages - only adrenalin perked me up for the Bristol gig. I was comatose in my room still at 4pm trying to get a nap while Zosh was swearing at her laptop for not uploading pics fast enough... smile

I got home at 2pm,had half hour nap & was back out the door for Bristol at 3pm.

Got stuck in the carpark after the show for a bit then figured out I could go up as well.Got to bed at 12:45,got to sleep at 2.I was still that much on a high.Woke up 6 wide awake.

I spent most of last night uploading so tonight is a proper chill out in front out of the tell night.

I have New Europeans from Bristol on vid as a souvenir just in case they dont come back again.
(before the 'safety police' stopped me.

Its going with me to my desert island cool
