Just one doubt... I'm not sure what "sherbet" means, is it the frozen fruit dessert or "something closer" to a pint of beer?
In any case, count me in, I should be able to come back from Oxford in time to join you (if it's indeed beer, I'll find a volunteer for drinking my one )

Aye 'n' hic...I think that certain other members had arranged some informal get togethers...does this formalise things?

I'm guessing that it would make sense for people to aim for the same place, and the place we went to last time was ideal.. that said, Paul's post further up the thread gives me hope that the good folk of EV may have something up their sleeves for us to consider!!

..If that doesn't transpire, then just meeting up in one place should be sufficient - it was warm enough last April for people to merge and mingle outside the pub, so hopefully the same will apply.

L - Yep, in this context, sherbet does mean alcohol !!

As for the idea of summat "different" organised to titillate and amuse, that sounds like fun and a good guessing game to boot. What counts as "different", I wonder? A Joe Dolce retrospective as interpreted by the very excellent Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre Company, perhaps? An industrial container lorry of El Presidente Mexican brandy and special souvenir straws?A sponsored ULTRAVOX singathon to raise money to have Bonio adopted by Madonna? I'm shivering with antici . . . . . . pation already.

Bearing in mind that this may well be the very last ever London-based concert by the lads (and, face it, it may) then I think it's not half bad an idea. I shall hold my excitement in abeyance until more is teasingly revealed.

But, the answer's "Yes", innit, know wha' I mean?

I have just about enough technical nouse to access my own e-mails. Anything more would confuse me beyond measure. However, I am as I write practising my Embra burrr and maddly darning and stitching on button eyes (which Snr. Dolce doesn't like much cos I've run out of local aneasthetic, but it won't hurt so much if you stop squirming, will it, Joe? And, I admit, my singing "I Stitch Uppa da Face" probably isn't helping and the whole thing is beginning to resemble "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" as presented by "Good Housekeeping" magazine, but it'll be worth it in the long run. You have to suffer for your art, you know. After all, we've all suffered for your art. Hah!).

Reading between the lines, I'm getting the feeling that wheels are in motion . . . Is there a move to get something fun and jolly going?

Paul, If your plans come to fruition, and the result of your collective hard work is anywhere near the standard of the previous Hammy V'gate - I shall stand you several pints!!

I can see where you're heading with that, but surely any written reworking of that variety would end up in 'Heat' magazine, no? Maybe if it could be recategorised "The Texas BBQ Massacre", it could get a slot on Masterchef, or even have a one off special on the TV fronted by...well, name your preferred option here. If it was on independent television, doubtless it would be fronted by Alan Titchmarsh (can someone please tell me what the point of 'Popstar to Operastar' is, really?), the BBC, Nick Knowles. The sheer horror and possibilities are endless aren't they?.

Hi All, I've just got tickets last friday Row E10 from ticketmaster Couldn't believe these were available they must hold back the side blocks until they sell all of the central block?? still a good view from there though.

I should be able to get a few nice photos for you all that'll be freely availabe to fellow fans.
