It was nice to meet you all again. I don't know if it was me but it seemed louder in the Montagu Pyke this evening. Sorry I had to rush off but Mrs Beat likes to go out on a Saturday night. I hope there arn't too many hangovers. In the past (because I'm mostly a fan of John) I never given Monument much thought but my appitite was wetted this evening and I'll try my best to get to the next concert. Regards Peter

Hi all! Back safely at 3am (*yawn*), my word, what a pea-souper the fog was on the motorway!! It was fantastic to meet you all, what a wonderful group you are! Mr and Mrs X, thank you for organising this again, it was so lovely to see you both. Have a safe journey home, and hopefully you'll be over again soon so that we can do this all again! *Big hugs*. Thomas - sorry I had to go just as you arrived, what a shame! Holly, Peter - lovely to meet you too! Caroline - I'm not sure how many G&T's you had, but it was just me, Rob couldn't make it, LOL!! Steve - an absolute pleasure as always. Leave that poor bear alone though, he's traumatised enough! A drop of Old Rosie might help him along, though... Roy, sorry we didn't get the chance to chat much, but it was a pleasure to meet you at last. Mark - great to see such boundless enthusiasm, I look forward to the Voxgate / gig in March, wherever it might be. Phil - you were missed. I hope everything gets sorted out OK on the house front... Thanks for a wonderful time, everyone!

Originally posted by Flip Martian: . . . another meetup sometime over the next few weeks but maybe some of you will want a break for a while?! What? Stop now we're just getting into our stride?! I agree with Trouble, I think another meet-up in the next week or two would be a splendid idea, although perhaps somewhere without a telly or on a non-rugger-bugger day might be a bit easier on the ears and on the seating (sorry to those folks whose birthday was hi-jacked). Does anyone know the Cittie of Yorke in Holborn, that's characterful and not bad? Mind you, the MP is very central and convenient, and the drinks are good. I second all that's been said here and add to it. It was great to meet you again, Mrs and Mr X, thanks so much for putting in the effort to get it all arranged and co-ordinated. It was a real pleasure to see you both again. I'm sure your health will be drunk at the next one! Maybe we won't play "Hunt and Medically Retrieve the Film Pot Cap", though. Took me right back to my medical days did that . . . Good to meet you again, too, Cersie, a sterling effort hiking all that way over and going back in such Victorian conditions, I hope you made it safely. Thanks Trouble, Caroline, Alles, Mr Beat, Roy, Mark and Old Rosie and anyone else I've forgotten in my drunken hazy memory for a really good evening which just seemed to get better and better . . . And, of course, Rehab Bobo, whose eyes were this time shielded from the drunken revels so's not to corrupt his poor, furry beary soul too much. At the next one we must engage the services of a surrogate bear to make the evening complete. Shame that you couldn't be there, Phil, your photographic skills would have been well exercised. I believe Mrs X was taking many snaps some of which I'm sure will be posted to the delight and embarrassment of innocent and guilty alike! And anyone else who couldn't come, you were missed and you missed a good time. I'm rambling. I'm still de-toxifying, I think. Time to get some work done.

Wow... What an evening it was!!!!!! To all of you who made it, thank you so much for coming. It was great seeing you all! Cerise, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you at last! Roy, O cuddly one, sorry we couldn't chat more but I did enjoy the conversation we did have. Steve, you can find the film cap or battery down my shirt anytime. <img border="0" alt="[Suave]" title="" src="graemlins/suave.gif" /> Phil - You were sorely missed. There was more debauchery to be had! Glad I got to speak to you at least, and I will try and ring you before we go. It will probably be from the land line, so be warned! Shame more people couldn't make it this time. I'm sure I will be in touch with all of you. I will miss you all terribly! I will definitely let you all know when we'll be back in the country. As for pictures, Mr X and I took some and will post them as soon as they're developed...at least the ones I feel should see the light of day. *ahem* Again, thanks for making Phase II a success! Sorry it was so loud in there, but there you go. That's what happens on a Sat'day night (in the city of the dead). Love and kisses to all... Mrs. X

Hi Looking forward to seeing your pictures Tara. Love to see them on this site even if I'm not 100% photgenic For me it's nice to put faces to people on this site, and because we share a common interest we get along so well. I know if I had "old Rosie" I'd never walk out of the pub standing up staight. I,m not sure if I can make another Voxgate this side of Christmas but would be very keen in the new year. Thanks to everyone that was there Regards Peter

I'm sorry I missed a few of you at VOXGATE Phase 11 last night but due to work commitments I arrived pretty late. (19.30) It was a bit of a rush but I wanted to be there & say my Goodbyes to Mr & Mrs X. Anyway, I had a great time & we all shared a few laughs. German toilets & Batteries? OK, we won't go there? Yes, I'll be up for Phase 111 but I agree with Metal Beat I guess leaving it until the new year would be better? It was great meeting you all again!!

I think there should have been a new thread called 'About Last Night ...' as that would have captured the moment Good to see everyone (inc the brief say hello, wave goodbye with Cerise - I'm taking that Lynx back to the shop ). Hats off to Simon for making such a huge effort in getting there + also hats off to O2 (Telefonica ?) - words fail me so all I can do is resort to well worn cliches; 'I've got to hand it to you' 'when the chips are down' and to misquote U2 'he wore lemon' Tara, hope you have a safe journey back + make sure you look after that film - some images that need a wider audience

Hi all!!! Mr X and I arrived back safely last night/early this morning. I really wish we didn't have to leave, but I'm hoping we'll be back very, very soon. Let me express how wonderful it was to meet so many of you at the Montagu Pyke Voxgates. I couldn't possibly have been surrounded by a nicer bunch of people. Many friends were made, and I will definitely keep in touch! Anyway...again, thanks for showing us a great time, and I hope to see you all again very soon! Love to all, Mrs. X

Osty: That would be nice, if anyone's up for it! I'd recommend coming in the summer or autumn (basically June to October) as it's usually too damn cold and unpredictable any other time! That is, of course, if we haven't moved there by then, but we're not really rushing. Machman: Oh no! I was afraid that might happen. At the first one, it was dead enough there at the beginning (we were there really early) that we could find a table where we'd be easily noticed. This was not the case with the second one, though. We were sitting in one of the booths near the back of the bar, and there were a LOT of people there that day. I'm sorry you missed us! There'll be another time though. Mrs. X

Glad you all had a great time. I would have liked to have tried to come along but unfortunately I was diagnosed with bowel cancer and had my op 3 weeks and one day ago (whos counting hey!) So hopefully (chemo treatment permitting)next year I will be able to make a Voxgate!
Just thought I would mention - if you any of you guys and girls notice anything dodgy with regards to bowel movements - go to your doctor ASAP. I am a bit of a rare case as I am in my 30s and female but it does happen. Awareness is the key. And dont be embarressed - getting checked out like I did could save your life. Sorry thats the end of my health bit.
Take Care folks and have a safe and happy xmas and new year.
Best Wishes JC
