Trying to keep this a seperate thread just on this album.
I'm pleased that John and Louis decided to do a similar album as the Exotour. There are a few tracks missing but they were already on the Exotour.

It's great to have another Exotour style album, and to finally have that great new version of My Sex recorded in the studio.

My only gripe is that the Crash & Burn tracks sound almost identicle to the album originals, so they don't add anything for me, except for Broken Furniture, which is great.

My favourite track on the live album is broken furniture, of the new'ish tracks.
But i almost always like the old songs best no matter if theres a rearrangment or not.

It would be nice if there was an official live album of previous shows everytime a new tour started (slight hint i think). nervouslaugh

I forgot to mention how much I like the new version of Nightlife - mainly from when it changes in the middle, and there's new lyrics.

Too bad the first half isn't more like the album version, but it's nice to have the two alternate versions.

I also love the new vocals at the end of Touch & Go - really cool. "Leaning out of the moving windows..."

And No-One Driving sounds great.

Yeah, I like this, there's a lot of fluidity going on here, like at the end of Underpass for instance - this is better than the original!

I like the new ending to Metal Beat.

Though I suddenly realised that it's a real shame that the great new versions of SLOW MOTION and TMWDED were not included on this CD, especially since it was recorded in the tour rehersals.

Those 2 tracks would have been more appropriate than perhaps Sex Video and Ultraviolet/Infra-red. Those two don't do much for me, I'm afraid, they're just the same as the album versions.

I thought that. confused

As Big As A Room (or whatever...) seems to be the Crash & Burn "live" album that was once rumoured to be coming out, as the set list is pretty much from that tour.
Only two and half years late then!

Does seem to be quite different from the recent tour set list if it was recorded in rehearsal for those dates.

You're right Alex, I think John and Louis could of squeezed Slow Motion and AMWDED on this album.

Saying that we'll probably get in 2 years time a studio recorded version of this tour with the new songs from Impossible and the above mentioned tracks.

Thanks to John & Louis for this CD!

I like the scala boot from the 2003 tour a lot ! So I listened to it very often. This is the reason I'm not so enthusiastic about the new CD - I think I had it a bit overheard?

But I'm very thankful for the CD. I remember many guys had wished a CD from the last tour. Me too. It is great John & Louis done it for their fans. It is good to have the reworked versions in a clear sound.

Once again - Thanks a lot for this! smile
