I've got two tickets booked! Super donuts! What a line-up...I've been a Harold Budd fan for years, and to see him live at last is an awesome prospect. Thanks for posting this.

If I have luck ( Peter have something to manage for my visit at his home) I will go to this gig too; with Peter and my girlfriend. Perhaps we can meet us together there? Birdsong, Feline1, Robert and Church Puddle - would be nice , would'nt it? Rob have you any informations about what John will exactely do on this gig? Will he play some stuff from Translucence or Drift Music together with Harold Budd? I never saw Harold live but i'm very interested into see him on stage. Heard some stuff from him esp. Plateux of mirror, and the CD's with John. Great Musician. And with John together on stage - this is it worth to travel from Hamburg to Brighton! And I'm interesting to see Jah Wobble - know him from his P.I.L. times... Hope all work out fine to manage my travel to UK. I'm keen to visit the English Island again!!!! Bye, Andreas

Folks, I don't think Harold Budd himself is actually going to be there and performing? Is the deal not that Budd has retired now from performing, and this is a 'tribute evening' to his music? Check before you buy your tickets! Brighton of course is a lovely place anyway, the San Francisco of Europe and the Dome is a beautiful old theatre venue.

I joined as a friend. For the sake of £25, I didn't think the prospect of potentialy missing out justified not paying the sum (could you imagine that!!!!!). And split between four people, the price of 'Friend' membership was just like an additional booking fee you'd pay at Ticketmaster.

Just booked my ticket. I'm up for a gathering. The West Pier would be just lovely but don't you think we're a few decades too late? Or has Nick Cave's idea of an ape sanctuary been approved? :p This will be some event I reckon. I became interested in Harold Budd in the early '90s, having no idea he would be working with another great hero later on. Also I went to uni in Brighton so will be great to come back. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="cool.gif" /> Mark

OH NO!!!!!! I've just realised this event is on THE SAME DAY as the only other gig worth watching this year - EUROVISION!!!! I haven't missed Eurovision for 10 years. It's the dogs wotsits!! AAAAAAAAGH! I know. Rob - you couldn't ask John if he's prepare to fly out and perform in Kiev? <img border="0" alt="[Pissed]" title="" src="graemlins/pissed.gif" /> See you in Brighton everyone Martin

Got the Metamatic update mail from Rob about this gig and now I begin to feeling nervous... Will anyone going to the weekend party in April? For me it is too expensive to go there, the Euro is not so high as the Pound, so 120 Pounds would be a very expensive adventure for me... BUT I'M READY FOR BRIGHTON - GLAD TO MEET YOU THERE!!!! Bye, Andreas

Hi In fact it will be 30 days upon tomorrow until the gig - Have anyone thought about a good meeting point? For me, the West pier is not bad , know a little bit about it - stood there for a day in the past... Any better ideas? Not too long to wait now... Bye, Andreas

Hi I'm up for a meeting. Like Shadow man says the East pier ( The one that still standing) would be OK, say 5 o'clock? This will give us time to find a bar and have a quiet chat before the doors open at 18.45. I'll have my mobile with me and I'm willing to co-ordinate, unless anyone has any other thoughts. Regards Peter

Birdsong, food sounds good but I don't know Brighton that well. If anyone wants my mobile number please drop me a mail. Regards Peter

I'll be there about that time. Just after seeing Man U beat Arsenal in the cup final in fact. Btw, Bill Nelson's diary has been updated (28 April), http://www.billnelsonmusic.com/html/villa/study.php, seems he is going to do two pieces with Harold. Seems reasonable to expect the same with John? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="cool.gif" /> Mark

Fantastic Mark! Now we are 6 fans at the pier. In fact Bill Nelson plays 2 tracks with Harold Budd, I think we can assume John is doing the same.( Though it would be okay for me he would play more tracks with Harold ) Bye, Andreas ...only 11 days now...

...only 11 days now... Andreas, That's excellent info. I wonder if the concert is going to be recorded. I hope so. What about Steve Jansen ex Japan ? How many tracks will he be playing ? What about Steve's brother, David Sylvian ? Isn't he going to turn up? I would have loved to have gone but you know family commitments. I'll have to content myself with watching the Eurovision song contest instead . Tschus! Chris C

When in Brighton, here is a fantastic and economic Indian restaurant (it was vegetarian in 2002), the Bombay Aloo. There are 3 of them in Brighton, if I remember well. It's not far from the pier. And the currie had no "effect" on me. Love LAVA

Hi Chris It's a shame to say but I have no things to do that , hope another guy could manage that. AT LEAST - IT IS ILLEGAL! But I have to admit I would love to have a copy too. Perhaps we can hope for an official recording? I would buy it!!! Tschüß, too Andreas
