Thats a tough one Alex. We can only guess! At least John still makes good music, whatever his age and that is all that counts. About time for some new sounds. We've waited now for over a year. Regards Metal Beat.

The only clue I have as to what his age might be is in this interview I have with him where he mentions having seen Jimi Hendrix when he was 13 or 14. So that would narrow it down to being somewhere between 1967-1970, wouldn't it? I'm guessing somewhere closer to '67, since any later would make him a few years younger than the others. Here's the link to the interview. It's quite interesting. John Foxx: If You Don\'t Trust Your Instincts, You\'ll Never Do Anything Valuable Mrs. X

I was just joking, of course, but I wanted to believe that John was born exactly 10 years before me (Oct 9, 1963). Now, after your remark, I discovered that Midge was born on Oct 10, 1953! Missed by just one day... I will remember his birthday from now on. I don't know much about starsigns... I will ask our resident psychic/esoterist (Meriseth) for a consultation. Cheers, Luca

Hi I've just managed to open the link. Great interview from John, I felt it is one of the best and the most honest interviews I've read for a long time. Regards Mr Beat

Sorry, guys, but I will stick to my original hunch. JF was born exactly 10 years before me - Oct 9, 1953. He doesn't disclose his age because he doesn't want to admit that he's 1 day older than Midge!

43....Mrs X - its true ya know - Ultravox were once thought to be the English equivalent of the Jackson 5... So John was a child prodigy!! (Come to think of it, I'm sure I've read somewhere that he really was!) Let's see then... "Ain't Misbehavin'" was about typical adolescent behaviour, and "Monkey Jive" was about...er...pleasuring oneself? Mrs. X

I am sure that Chris was born on 14th July, Warren on 20th May, Billy in April sometime (Aries) and Midge on 10th October, somebody posted correct information here. I was well into the band back in the 80s when a teenager and those are the years you just absorb everything like a sponge. I knew so much irrelevant shit about those guys back then that somebody suggested that I went on one of those TV quizzes to answer only Ultravox questions HAHAHA insane stuff looking back. I went to see "Ultravox" play the forum in the 90s sometime but the only original member was Billy so it was ok but not as magic as if they had all been there. I had a chat with Billy afterwards and I asked him about the rest of the guys but he didnt know anything about Warren and he told me that Chris had moved to the Shetlands and had opened a geese farm. That was wild! Does anybody here know if that is correct? Maybe I should post in the Chris Chross forum... But if you know something, let me know. I am not obsessional about them anymore, grown up and all that haha but I am still curious to know what happened to Chris and Warren. Cheers or as they say in Norway, Skål! Px

As I said earlier, a feature around the time of The Garden said he was 28. Therefore he would be 51 now. Thus born in '53. I agree with Patrizia.

Originally posted by Oesterreicher II: Ist of April, wasn't it ? I seem to recall that his own site has a pretty full biog. In his bio on his website, he only states that: "I was born in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England, 1950." A cousin of a friend of mine had a similar adventure at the airport in Rome, same year. John was there, coming home after one of his Cathedral Oceans performances at the Giardino Botanico (of which I knew nothing, dam***). If I want to meet John I have to chase him around the world... * Ah... 51 53 1953... in Italy we call this "dare i numeri" (give numbers) that means "going mad". But... ARIES?!? Odd... He looks more like Gemini to me. Meriseth
