Hi all!
Making my debut here.
First of all thanks Cerise and Rob for your masterpiece.
Been a fan of Ultravox and everything Ultravoxy and synth since 81. I'll start with The Quiet Man himself. His collection now looks impressive. 2003 was a great year for JF's fans. However, the collection seems to be missing one or two things.
1)THE RETRO EP and other live tracks. A project that EV had in mind. Perhaps the forthcoming remastered Island CD's will feature these.
2) THE QUIET MAN- art, literature and music. He's already written most of the book and released two tracks so far. All he needs now is to go wild with the artwork.
3) Now this is too much asking! 4 into 1 : METAMATICA, METATRONIC, METADELIC, URBAN MOTETS
All this to mark his 25th Anniversary into the world of music!!!
Any chance of this coming true?
Chris C

Before anyone asks, this is something that Cerise and I are STILL trying to progress. But there are currently no plans for the first three Island albums ( Ultravox!, Ha! Ha! Ha! & Systems of Romance) to be remastered - with or without extra tracks. Originally posted by Chris C: THE QUIET MAN- art, literature and music. Hi MetaMatrix, Volume II was never released as a single album but as a double CD album on the Edsel label along with Volume I. This was back in 2003. That was a great year for JF fans. We are all still recovering from this overdose!!! John gives us a year to get back down to earth. 2005 seems like it's going to be a great year. Sit tight Chris C

Hi Like most fans I have CO1 twice. I could never understand why CO2 was released in a double pack with CO1. Ah well thats life. I also agree that John works in a two year cycle. 2001 and 2003 were brilliant years for new stuff. 2002 only 1 concert in Germany and 2004 1 concert in Barcelona. Now if my crystal ball was working I'd have said "sod the expense" and gone to Spain. I was dreaming about other concerts happening later this year. Regards Metal

John is currently very busy working on a number of different projects.
The first of which is "Cathedral Oceans III" - this will also be available as a DVD. It's anticipated that as well as being mixed in 5.1, the DVD will include a commentary track from John describing how the associated images are created. There are plans to accompany this release with a series of exhibitions both in the UK and abroad.
As well as writing an albums worth of ambient electronic music (similar in style to "Glimmer"), John is also working with Karl Bartos (ex-Kraftwerk) and Adult - there's even talk of there being some live shows to accompany these collaborations. John and Louis are also looking to make available a CDs worth of material from last years "Crash and Burn" tour.

[/b] I wonder if this is John's long lost classic. This was 99.9% written back in 2000. I remember your advert Rob. It seems that he is giving it a final polish. "Neon lights shimmering Neon Lights". Hey there's another one with Karl Bartos!! Urban Motets sounds like an excellent title to me. I can't think of anything else. Urbanscapes. Perhaps ? Urban Motets sounds more like our John!! Rob keep us posted. How's the discography going?!? Chris C
